November 4 2024 is a student holiday/Staff Development Day

Cell Phone Usage in Car Line
Parents please be careful of cell phone usage while moving in the car line. We want to ensure the safety and security of all scholars, staff members, and other parents as well.
Our third “I VOTED” sticker contest is going on right now. The goal is to encourage scholars to learn more about the democratic process and to inspire registered CH parents, staff, and families to vote in the November election.
Here is how it will work:
Campuses will collect “I VOTED” stickers from scholars during early voting (October 21 - November 1) and on election day (November 5)
Scholars and staff can collect the “I VOTED” stickers from their neighbors, family members, and others once they have cast their ballots.
Scholars and staff should turn stickers into their campus to be counted and submitted at the end of the campaign.
Campuses will email their sticker count to Rebecca Garza on Nov 8, 2024.
The winning campus will receive a prize on a day to be decided after the winner is announced.
You can put your sticker on the board in the front office.

Find additional at-home activities on our STEM Resources webpage.

Collegiate Prep Book Fair
Updated 10/27/2024
Sales will start on Monday this week and will be every day from 8:05-3:15.
We are only accepting eWallet, Tap to Pay, and credit cards for this book fair. To set up your eWallet, go to www.scholastic.com/bf/CPE and scroll down to the red section with the eWallet logo and follow the directions. This is by far the easiest and safest way for your scholar to purchase things at the book fair.
You can create your own Scholastic eWallet account and add money for your scholar to use. You can print out a barcode for your scholar to use in the book fair or your scholar can just alert Mrs. Salgado that they have an eWallet when they visit the book fair and we can look up their balance.
This is the best way for the younger scholars to safely shop at the book fair so we don't have to worry about lost money. In addition, if you have any requirements for your scholar (buy a book first not toys, buy only chapter books, buy just picture books, etc.) please send your scholar with a note or email Mrs. Salgado at allison.salgado@chisd.net and please include your scholar's grade and homeroom teacher.
There will be an opportunity for grown ups to shop at the book fair Wednesday October 30 from 4:00-5:00. Please reach out to Allison Salgado with any further questions. Thanks for supporting our book fair!

Each scholar, new or returning, must register for Transportation services through their student skyward account. Students will only be scheduled on one school bus to one primary residential address.
A non-eligible student may not ride on a school bus unless they have received a Temporary Scholar pass from the home campus principal or other designated administrator.

Times posted on this site reflect the expected time the bus should arrive during good weather. Inclement weather or traffic congestion may cause the route to run later than the posted time. We ask that all students be at their bus stop 5 minutes before the scheduled time to avoid missing the bus.

The school bus is an extension of the classroom and campus, and discipline will be administered by campus administrators. All school board policies that apply to student conduct and other student-related activities apply to the school bus.
