Golddigger/Duster Families,
I hope this newsletter finds you well! I am excited to share some updates and highlights from our school community.
New Math Teacher Announcement
We are thrilled to announce that we have hired a new math teacher who will be joining our team soon! She holds a master's degree in mathematics and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our school. We can’t wait for her to meet our students, so please be on the lookout for an upcoming parent/teacher meet and greet.
NWEA Testing Success
I am proud to report that the NWEA testing for our 7th to 10th graders went exceptionally well. Our students demonstrated remarkable effort and achievement, and we couldn’t be more proud of their hard work and dedication.
Upcoming Parent/Teacher Conferences
Mark your calendars! Parent/teacher conferences are scheduled for February 12th from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM. This is a great opportunity to connect with your child’s teachers, discuss their progress, and ask any questions you may have.
Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)
Our new Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is off to a fantastic start! Meetings are held once a month on Wednesdays. For specific dates and times, please refer to our district calendar. We encourage all parents to get involved and help support our school community.
Winter Activities Update
Our winter sports teams have been working incredibly hard, and their efforts are truly showing. We appreciate the dedication of our student-athletes and the support of our coaches and families. We are also excited to highlight the many activities our students participate in, including our fine arts programs. Our upcoming musical, Shrek Jr., is set to take place in March, and we can’t wait to see our talented students shine on stage!
Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community.

New way to report your students absences!
Campus Parent Absence Request Tool
Exciting News! Parents you can now use this Infinite Campus tool to report same-day absences, late arrivals, early dismissals and pre arranged absences. You can access this tool within the Campus Parent website or smart phone app. Specific instructions on how to use the tool can be found in this guide.
Alternatively, you can call the attendance voicemail at 303-679-4680 to report your student absents or late arrival for the day.
Important Update - Cell Phone Policy
Cellphones are a great way to communicate with your student, however, please know that we cannot excuse your student from class unless the front office sends a pass for them. Also, if you have something urgent that you need to communicate with your student, calling the office is one of the best ways to do so. This way, the school can help in an emergency and we can make sure your student gets the message. Students are using their parents as a reason for needing to use their phone in class, so we wanted you to be aware that if your student does not answer your text or phone call immediately, it means they are focused on their school work. Thank you for partnering with us on this issue.

Healthy Students Reminder
As we kick off the the second half of the school year, it's important to stay mindful that this time of year often sees an increase in illnesses.
To help keep everyone healthy and thriving, our School Nurse, Emily Leak, has compiled some essential reminders. Please refer to these Student Health Guidelines when determining whether your student is well enough to attend school.
By working together and following these guidelines, we can create a safe and healthy learning environment for all.
