AP Testing and John Brock
We wrapped up two GREAT weeks of AP Testing. We are so proud of our almost 800 students who have challenged themselves all year long and finished the race by taking their AP Exams! We know you have worked hard and look forward to seeing many of you in July to celebrate you and give you a HIGH 5!
Our Physics I students show their appreciation and gratitude for our very own, Mr. John Brock!
ESOL Rocking the ACCESS Test!
The students in ESOL who tested higher on their ACCESS test this year got rewarded by getting lunch and going to Coal Mountain Park. We are so proud of them!

National History Day
National History Day is a program which provides students with the unique opportunity to engage with history, conduct research, and develop critical thinking while inspiring them to a love of history and other topics. This year senior Lindsay Chan competed for National History Day with the Theme "Rights and Responsibilities in History". Lindsay's exhibit, titled "Weighing Feathers: Remembrance and Loss of the Kauaʻi ʻōʻō Bird", detailed the rights of the U.S. and Hawaiian governments to make money from their environmental resources, but their failure to uphold their responsibility to maintaining ecosystems and habitats needed to ensure that unique creatures like the Kaua'i ʻōʻō Bird did not go extinct. Lindsay placed second in exhibits at the Kennesaw University regional competition. She went on to the State competition, where she was one of four students to earn the inaugural Student of Excellence Award! Lindsay won for her excellent research, well put together exhibit including the haunting call of the LAST Kauaʻi ʻōʻō Bird looking for it's mate, and well written arguments. She is excited to go to college to continue her research into environmental and conservation efforts and said that she enjoyed the platform National History Day gave her.
Next year's theme for National History day is "Revolution, Reaction, and Reform in History". Fingers are crossed that there will be enough funding to continue this historic competition, as the defunding of the National Endowment for the Arts means a lack of government funding for the national, state, and regional competitions in U.S. schools around the world. Anyone interested in participating or donating can see Mrs. Surette in room 339 for more information!

They will have their own parking pass and park in Deck #3 on levels 4, 5, and 6. Check-in will be on Level 3. Students will be walking A LOT. Please make sure you wear comfy shoes. Family and friends will need to purchase a parking pass for the event. Please do so here: https://www.ticketmaster.com/north-forsyth-high-school-graduation-parking-duluth-georgia-05-20-2025/event/0E006259B69C3EBC?brand=gassouthdistrict If families would like to drive together, parents will have to wait until 6PM to enter the arena through the main entrance.
