Find out what's going on in the GKCWP, connect with colleagues, and have some fun and food.

We call it Work Day, but it's really a just big celebration of all of you -- KC's greatest teachers!

Join us as we read, write about and discuss the implications of AI and Large Language Models in our classrooms. No advance prep is needed -- we will provide the reading and dinner at Minsky's on 51st & Main. Click here to add google calendar invite . If you're looking for classroom inspiration or professional rejuvenation, consider this 18-hour program which provides credentials that can support teaching dual credit and college composition. Your previous Summer Institute credits can fulfill requirements, and our Teaching New Media and Seminar in Professional Writing courses can help you in your classroom and leadership roles. Students in grades 7-12 can enter writing in more than 10 different categories, including flash fiction, poetry, and critical essay. The Scholastic Writing Awards recognizes the creative work of teens with scholarship opportunities; gold, silver and honorable mention awards; and local and national awards ceremonies.

The contest is open September 1 - January 6.
