UMMS Fall Sports & Activities Registration for 2024
Attention Upper Moreland Middle School Families
We're excited to continue the process of student registrations for Fall 2024-25 Athletic & Activity Programs. Upper Moreland School District has moved to all online form submissions through BigTeams.*
*BigTeams does not have a mobile app, and is best viewed on iPad, laptop, or computer. You may experience difficulties with submissions if you attempt to use your mobile device.
NOTE: Only 7th & 8th Grade Students Can Participate in Sports.
Important Information:
- All physicals, sports-related forms, and activity fees are due by:
- Football: September 1, 2024
- Girls Tennis, Girls Soccer, Cross Country, Field Hockey, & Marching Unit: September 6, 2024
- Boys Soccer: September 20, 2024
- No hard copies of physicals or cash/check will be accepted in the Middle School Main Office.
- Marching Unit Families Only: Do NOT register on BigTeams. You are still required to pay the activity fee.
Registration Process:
NOTE: Families whose student participated in Middle School Sports last year can use their existing BigTeams account.
Returning BigTeams Users:
- Login to your existing account
- Update Sections 5 & 6 of the Physical Form
- Sections must be dated, signed by the physician, and uploaded to the portal.
- If Section 6 is not signed and dated by the physician, the physical will not be accepted.
- Some doctors may request to view Section 5 before completing and signing off on Section 6 during your appointment.
- Upload Sections 5 & 6 signed by a physician
- Update Sections 1 - 4 if your information has changed
New BigTeams Users:
- Create a new account
- Complete Sections 1 - 5 on the online portal.
- Complete Sections 5 & 6 of the Physical Form
- Sections must be dated, signed by the physician, and uploaded to the portal.
- If Section 6 is not signed and dated by the physician, the physical will not be accepted.

Important Portal Notes:
- Once you have created your parent account, you can log in with your student-athlete to the student account for the Acknowledgements, by clicking "login as" at the top of the page and selecting your student. You do NOT need to log out.
- Reminder:
- Student-athletes must acknowledge Sections 3 - 5 of the Physical, Student-Athlete Code of Conduct, AND Spectator Guidelines.
- Parents/Guardians must acknowledge the Student-Athlete Code of Conduct, Spectator Guidelines, AND Parent/Guardian Expectations.

Required Forms:
- PIAA Physical Sections 1 - 6 (dated after June 1, 2024) (ENGLISH/SPANISH)
- Sections 1 - 5: Completed by Parents/Guardians
- Sections 3 - 5: Completed by Students
- Section 6: Uploaded to portal by Parents/Guardians
- Student-Athlete Code of Conduct Acknowledgement
- Completed by Parents/Guardians AND Students*
- Spectator Guidelines Acknowledgement
- Completed by Parents/Guardians*
- Parent/Guardian Expectations Acknowledgement
- Completed by Parents/Guardians*
*Both parents AND students must understand the expectations and responsibilities of the Middle School Athletics Program, even though forms are being completed by parents/guardians.
Activity Fee Payment:
- All student-athletes and performing arts participants must view and pay the Activity Fee
- Use the online payment link (no cash or checks accepted)
- Fee reduction or waivers are available for those who qualify for Free & Reduced Lunch, or are experiencing an economic hardship.

Key Dates:
- All required paperwork for the following sports must be submitted on the online portal before the dates listed below.
- We will communicate the specific times and locations of practice dates the week leading up to the events.
- Football: Begins Wednesday, September 4, 2024
- Paperwork Due: Sunday, September 1, 2024
- Marching Unit Camp: Begins Tuesday, September 10, 2024
- Fee Due: Friday, September 6, 2024
- Boys Soccer: Begins Monday, September 23, 2024
- Paperwork Due: Friday, September 20, 2024
- All Other Fall Sports: Begin Monday, September, 9, 2024
- Paperwork Due: Friday, September 6, 2024

Physicals:
PIAA Required Paperwork:
- PIAA physicals must be completed and dated after June 1, 2024 for participation in tryouts and Fall sports during the upcoming school year.
- Instructions to complete physical documents are noted at the top of this communication.
- Marching Unit participants are not required to submit a physical.
*All completed physicals are due by the dates listed above for each individual sport, to participate in Fall sports.*
