Patton Parent Update
October 28- November 1
Principal's Message
Good afternoon Patton families,
Red Ribbon Week is coming up this week. We have a spirit week planned to remind students to say no to drugs and make good choices.
Halloween is coming soon. The spirit day is Wear Bright Colors. This will be a normal day at Patton and ask that students do not wear costumes to school and save the fun for after dismissal.
Students can sign up for after school student assistance through their advisory google classroom. We will start on October 28th from 3:00-4:00pm.
Our 9th graders will be taking the Pre-Act on November 1st. The will also be heading to KU for a field trip on 10/30 for a college visit.
Have a great weekend!
With Patton Pride,
Kevin Wellington
Principal

Meet the Teacher
Mrs. Raymond
Meet a remarkable woman who has dedicated 30 years of her life to teaching. With a heart full of compassion, she believes that every student has the potential to learn and succeed. Her philosophy is simple yet powerful: all students can achieve greatness if given the right support and encouragement.
When she’s not in the classroom, you can find her indulging in her love for baking—there’s nothing quite like the smell of fresh cookies wafting through the air! But her interests don’t stop there. She cherishes time spent with family, diving into a good book, or exploring the great outdoors.
Did you know? Her connection to sports runs deep; her great uncle was one of the first players for the Green Bay Packers back in 1919, sharing the field with none other than Curly Lambeau himself!
Despite her vibrant career, she is a bit of an introvert. She values her downtime and often seeks solace in quiet moments. And while she may not hail from Kansas, she carries with her a wealth of experiences from her time studying at St. Catherine's University.
A simple kind word can brighten her day, reminding us all of the power of positivity. Join me as we Welcome Mrs. Raymond to the Patton family.
NURSE CORNER
Illness absent protocol for Patton
Please call the school for any absences or tardiness. This allows us to record the absence.
- USD 207 policy states that all students should be kept at home for illnesses until free from fever, diarrhea, or vomiting for 24 hours without the aid of medications. A fever is considered to be 99.6 degrees or above.
- Your student will be marked Excused only if the Nurse calls and states the kid needs to go home. If the Parent chooses to take the student home it will be marked unexcused until a Medical Note is provided.
Volunteers are needed
We are looking for a few parents to help with the vision and hearing test, please see the QR code below to sign up. I have also provided the link below.
