MAY 2024
A Note From the Principal:
Hello Wabash Community!
It is hard to believe that April is already coming to an end. Time flies when you are having fun! May is right around the corner and with it comes the excitement of the final quarter of school. As a school community, we are working to finish the school year strong! We remain focused on our goals and continue to focus on growth for all.
We will be taking part in the State of Missouri Assessment Program this May. This test is called the MAP test. The MAP test will be as follows:
- 4th grade will test the week of April 29
- 5th grade will test the week of May 6
- 3rd grade will test the week of May 13
These dates are still subject to change as needed. We are excited to have our students show all that they know and give their best! We do not expect our kids to be perfect, we just expect them to give their best!
Lastly, we do have some date changes for some of our end of the year events. With the last day of school being moved to May 30, the following date changes were necessary:
May 17: Field Day
May 23: Kindergarten Graduation @ 1:00 pm
May 28: Kindergarten Block Party @ 9:00 am
May 28: 5th Grade Celebration @ 10:00 am
May 29: PTA Carnival
May 30: 5th Grade Clap Out @ 1:24 pm (updates to come)
May 30: Early Release @ 1:35 pm / last day of school
I look forward to a STRONG FINISH to our school year! Watch out May, here comes Wabash!
Every Student Matters, Every Moment Counts!
Mr. Schulte
Also, we miss our students when they are not here!
Did you know that students who miss two days of school per month end up missing an entire school year of learning by the time they graduate from high school? Every minute matters. Every day counts. Partner with us in your child's educational success by supporting strong attendance! Learn more.

I will be retiring from my career after 21 years with Wentzville School District. My time as a School Counselor has been so rewarding because of the students, parents, and faculty of the WSD! Thank you for the joy and the learning experiences that have filled my life! I hope to visit occasionally in a substitute role. 💙💚🦆
