BE A HERO
This year at Draper our focus is to provide our students with the tools to become a HERO! Our goal is to develop students who are Helpful, Engaged, Respectful, and On task. Throughout the year, our students will have the opportunity to learn and practice these skills. The visual below shows our Patriot “HERO” expectations in common areas of the school as well as in the classroom. At school, we will use this system to award students “Draper Dollars” they can use at the Draper General Store. We cannot wait to see the positive impact our heroes will have on the learning environment.
PARENTSQUARE IS HERE!
Wylie ISD has streamlined its communication platform by using ParentSquare. It is designed to keep families informed and engaged in our schools and district. ParentSquare is a safe avenue for parents, teachers, school staff and administrators to:
- Send and receive school and class information
- Choose how to receive messages--email, text or mobile app
- Choose when to receive information--instant or all at once around 6 pm each day
- Communicate in a preferred language
- Share photos and files
- View calendar events
- Sign-up to volunteer
- Schedule parent-teacher conferences
- ...and much more, all located in one convenient location
Secondary students (grades 5-12) can also use ParentSquare with their WISD email address.
Read Dr. Vinson's blog for more information.
