As the year draws to a close, the sophomore team wishes to thank all of the investors in the Class of 2026. No matter how you are connected to us, we're so glad you were here and thank you for all that you have done for your sophomore(s) this year!
Whether you're returning to AIS for junior year or going off to new explorations, Team Ten wishes you the best of luck, and hopes for a positive future for you all!

Summer Reading
How Many Books Do You Typically Read Over Summer?
End of Year Examinations
Students in 10th Grade have final assessments designed to introduce them to the IB Exam styles that they will sit for in 11th and 12th grade at AIS. Each exam is different, with different expectations, so students must keep their exam preparations organized!
Sophomore Final Exams
Geometry - Students will be taking a unit summative on Right Triangles and Trigonometry, combining Pythagorean Theorem with Perimeter and Area as well as basic Trig functions, and applying these skills to word problems.
Biology - Students will be taking a cumulative final exam composed of multiple choice and open ended questions.
Black & Latino Studies - Students will be completing a 50 question multiple choice exam.
Power of Voice - Students will choose 1 of 3 prompts (already provided to students) and write an in-class essay using our recent class text, Persepolis.
Spanish - Students will be completing a multiple choice and short answer final . This examination will be pull from all the units that they have studied.
French - Students will take a multiple choice exam that covers all the themes studied this school year
Health/PE - Students will take a four-part practicum where they will showcase all the skills they learned this year (volleyball, weights, floor hockey) with a written exam.
Design - Students will complete a written summative. They will evaluate their final business and marketing projects based on peer feedback.
Visual Art - Students will show their learning from the semester by completing a variety of requests for information in an artistic way.
Music - Students submit their Focus Country portfolio: (1) Investigation (due May 29th); (2) Podcast; and (3) Sewed Representation
Band - The spring concert was our final exam. Instrument Returns for rented instruments must be completed by June 3rd.
