January Update
We’ve had an amazing start to 2025, and we couldn’t have done it without your support! January was filled with learning, connection, and growth, and we’re so grateful for our wonderful school community.
A heartfelt thank you to all the families who attended Parent-Teacher Conferences this past week. Your partnership and involvement in your child’s education make a huge difference, and we appreciate the time you took to meet with our teachers.
We also want to express our gratitude to everyone who supported our Book Fair. Every purchase helps us bring new books to our school library, ensuring our students have access to fresh and exciting reads. Your generosity directly benefits our young readers, and we are so thankful!
As we move into February, we look forward to more great moments ahead. Stay tuned for upcoming events and activities, and as always, thank you for being such an integral part of our school community.

Family Day Assembly
Please join us on Monday, February 10 at 11:00 for our Family Day Assembly. Our grade 1 's have a special performance to share and we will be kicking off Random Acts of Kindness Week!
Important - Parking Reminder
We kindly remind all parents and guardians not to park in the Fort High parking lot, as these spots are designated for their staff. Ensuring that staff have access to their parking spaces is essential for the smooth operation of their school.
For student drop-off and pick-up, please use the parking lot to the South side of the school or the drop-off loop located within our parking lot. Using the correct areas helps keep traffic flowing smoothly and, most importantly, ensures the safety of our students.
By following these guidelines, we create a safer environment for everyone and show respect for our school community. Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to student safety!
First Nations, Metis, Inuit Update
Over the past four weeks, our Grade 4-6 students had an incredible opportunity to learn from Elder SkyBlue. These lessons introduced students to the Michif language and explored historical connections to Métis culture, deepening their understanding of Indigenous traditions and perspectives.
This was a valuable learning experience that complemented curriculum objectives and provided students with a richer perspective on history, language, and culture, reinforcing the importance of learning from Indigenous voices.
We are grateful for the knowledge Elder SkyBlue shared and the impact these lessons have had on our students.
Did You Know?
The next municipal election is on Oct. 20, 2025—an important component of this is the election of school trustees. Trustees are elected representatives who are knowledgeable about the communities they serve, and are accountable to students, families, staff and community members of a school division. Once sworn in, these individuals work diligently to promote and advocate for a strong public education system. Learn more
