Good morning, Bears and Bear Families!
I hope everyone is having a fun and safe summer! While we still have a good bit of summer left, I wanted to go ahead and put some information and dates on your calendar to prep for the beginning of school…yes, friends, it will eventually come. ;) So, here is the information we have for you (so far)…

Electronic Communications Policy
The Fulton County Schools Board of Education has updated its Electronic Communications Policy to align with Georgia House Bill 340 (Distraction-Free Education Act). The policy adoption restricts high school students (grades 9 – 12) from using personal electronic devices during instructional time.
What does this mean? It means all students will be required to use a Fulton County Schools-issued device – no more personal devices on campus. Students are allowed to have cell phones, but they must be away, with no access, during class periods. Students will not be allowed to use their own laptops, tablets, watches, smart-glasses, and headphones on campus. More information on devices can be found on our Office of Information Technology webpage. More information will be shared – just wanted to make you aware.
Principal/Booster Advisory Council
For 2025-2026, I am setting up a Principal/Booster Advisory Council. I love all their work to support our students and programs - couldn't run this school without them! So, this Advisory Council is a chance for me to meet with a representative from each board (including CAA, PTSA, and SGC) to discuss needs and how we can all work together to promote each of our programs. I would love to offer support through social media for fundraisers, activities, and new projects. Please help me get the word out. Our first preliminary meeting will be July 29th at 1:00 pm. Hope to meet once a quarter throughout the year. More information to come!

From our Fabulous PTSA
Greetings from your Cambridge PTSA! We are hard at work planning a year of activities that will support our students, families, and school. Our school community is stronger when we’re all working together, and we want to share a few updates as we prepare for the 25-26 school year:
- Most urgent: We are still seeking a Treasurer! If you have a few hours a month to share and are good with numbers, your involvement will make a big difference in our ability to keep our programs strong! Please email cambridgebearsptsa@gmail.com to inquire.
- PTSA Senior dues: Beginning July 1, we will collect Senior Dues for our programs that support our graduating class - stay tuned for more info! We are looking forward to celebrating the class of 2026!
- Business Partners: We are seeking passionate community and business partners who will support student achievement, promote a positive culture, and strengthen the partnerships of the Cambridge Community. Please email veronica@mehmedbasic.com if you’d like to learn more about opportunities to work together!
- Keep your eyes peeled for more info on membership next month!
