Student Voice Forum
The Student Voice Forum is a special opportunity for class representatives from each grade to meet with school administrators and share their classmates’ thoughts, ideas, and suggestions. These forums focus on three key areas:
-
School Experience & Environment: What do students love about our school, and how can we make it an even better place to learn and grow?
-
Student Well-Being & Support: Are there ways we can better support students—academically, socially, or emotionally?
-
School Events & Activities: What events, clubs, or activities do students want more of, and how can we make school events even more fun and inclusive?
By giving students a platform to share their perspectives, we’re helping them become confident communicators, thoughtful problem-solvers, and active members of our school community. We’re proud to partner with them in making our school the best it can be!
Shoe Drive - April 21-25

Support a Wish Come True!
Meet Madi, a brave Grade 4 student at Woodbridge Farms who has an inspiring story to share. Diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at a young age, Madi faced many health challenges, including multiple hospital stays in 2022. But everything changed at the end of that year when she started a new medication that brought her CF into remission—an incredible turning point in her journey.
In 2023, Madi received her Wish through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, enjoying an unforgettable trip with her family. Now, she’s determined to give back and help other children experience the same joy. Madi is participating in the Hero’s Challenge for Make-A-Wish on May 1, with an ambitious goal of raising $10,000!
To support her mission, Madi and her classmates are organizing a bottle drive and would love the support of our school community.
📅 Date: Tuesday, April 22
🕣 Time: 8:30 AM – 3:45 PM
📍 Location: Woodbridge Farms School – Look for the trailer in the parking lot
Bring in your empty bottles and help us fill the trailer for this heartwarming cause!
Can’t make it to the bottle drive but still want to support Madi’s goal? Donations can be made directly to her team, the Health Heroes, here:

Important Information About Field Trips
Students with unpaid school or field trip fees will not be able to participate in any remaining field trips for the 2024-25 school year. If your child’s class is attending a field trip and they are unable to join, an alternate program will be provided at the school.
Field trips are co-curricular activities designed to enhance classroom learning, but they are not required to meet curriculum outcomes. Our school operates on a cost-recovery, non-profit basis, meaning fees collected go directly toward covering the costs of these experiences.
To review your school fee information for the 2024-25 school year, please log in to the PowerSchool Parent Portal and select “Student Fees” where you can view and pay any outstanding fees online.
If you need assistance or would like to discuss a payment plan, please contact the school at 780-464-3330, and we’d be happy to help.
Art Walk & Spring Concert - Division 2

Thank You Volunteers
A big THANK YOU to EIPS Volunteers
National Volunteer Week takes place April 27 to May 4. On behalf of the Board of Trustees at Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS), I want to say a giant thank you to all EIPS volunteers. This year’s theme is Volunteers Make Waves, and that’s certainly true in our Division. No matter whether you’ve chaperoned a field trip, helped out at a hot lunch day or provided support in a classroom—every time you’ve stepped in a school—you’ve made a ripple effect that washes over your community. These waves of positivity, hard work and dedication build up and make a momentous impact on a student’s experience at school.
So, thank you again for being a part of our ocean at EIPS. The waves you’ve made—and will continue to create—all contribute to our collective goals of ensuring learning and working environments sustain student learning and amplifying the importance of public education in our province. This National Volunteer Week, I encourage everyone to celebrate the hundreds of volunteers and thousands of hours put into supporting student growth and achievement at schools across the Division.
