Tailgate Performance on Monday
Tailgate is Monday, September 9, at 7pm (AHS Track Stadium)! AHS/LFC Call-Time is 6:45pm in drill team block. Attire: Escadrille Dri-Fit, khaki shorts, and athletic shoes.
Come see over 1000 students play together!! Middle school bands get a taste of high school marching playing with the Biggest Band in the Land! Get a hamburger or hot dog meal with chips and a bottle of water for $5.00. Part of the proceeds from this meal will be donated back to the school of your choice: Allen HS, Curtis MS, Ereckson MS, or Ford MS.

Away Game vs. Prosper Rock Hill (9/13)
We have an away game at Prosper Rock Hill on Friday (4:40pm Call Time)! We will be performing the contest show "Fire & Ice" along with "All Along the Watchtower" (for the Tallenettes). We will wear our contest show uniforms for this week's game. Important information for this week's game:
- Do not go home on Friday. Students should not go home as there is not enough time to get back to AHS by call time.
- Did you complete the Dietary questionnaire? If you didn't fill out the dietary questionnaire and have specific dietary needs your student will receive the default meal (with no restrictions). Please click the link below if you have dietary needs. The away game meal will be as follows:
- Default meal/No Restrictions: Chick-Fil-A sandwich with chips and cookie.
- Vegetarian - Cool wrap with no chicken with chips and cookie.
- Gluten Free - Grilled chicken nuggets with chips and fruit snack.
- Pork Free - Chick-Fil-A sandwich with chips and cookie.
- Packing for inspection:
- Long sleeve contest show shirt. Go to the band office after school on Friday if you never received a contest show shirt. We have records of who received a shirt at registration and will not have replacements for lost or forgotten shirts. We only ordered enough shirts (and in the size requested) that were on our roster at registration; there will be no available shirts to trade out for sizing.
- Black athletic shorts
- Long, plain black socks
- Marching band shoes
- White/Light-colored shirt or undershirt to wear underneath your bibbers. The contest show short will go over your undershirt and bibbers.
- Gloves and Contest Show Wrap: Check for gloves & contest show wrap in shako (hat) box. Go to the band office after school on Friday for gloves & shako wraps if missing.
- Long Hair: Long hair must be up: Hair video 1. Hair Video 2.
- If you do not pass inspection: If you do not pass inspection, you will need to call home to inform your parents that you will not be going on the away trip and will receive an unexcused absence for the performance.
- Permission to Travel Form: There are a few students that were contacted last Friday that still have not turned in their 2024-2025 Allen ISD Permission to Travel Form. If you have not turned your form in, you will not be able to go on the trip and will receive an unexcused absence for the performance. You can deposit the form in the band safe in the AHS Band Offices.
Eligibility Check on Friday (9/13)
From the 2024-2025 Band Handbook:
"The Allen Band Staff will enforce all TEA eligibility rules and regulations. Students who are ineligible will continue to rehearse during their band class, before and after school, and participate in curricular performances to earn their band grade. Ineligible students may not travel with the band or participate in extracurricular performances. Students should always check on an event if there is a question of their participation. Be advised that excessive absences from school may also result in a student being declared ineligible. CLICK HERE for the 2024-2025 Eligibility Calendar."
Obligations and Fees
If you have any obligations from fees or past charges, please make those payments. Band staff will begin calling parents of students that have any obligations this week. Please note that if sales tax was not added to the fees, students have been charged the sales tax as an obligation. Students will not be able to participate in games if payments have not been made.
According to the 2024-2025 Band Handbook:
"Students with outstanding balance for program fees will not be allowed to participate in program activities unless there is a payment plan in place with the program director. Lack of participation will lead to removal from the program at the beginning of the next grading period."
Payments can be submitted through the following ways:
- Drop a check or cash in the AHS Band safe. (Checks made payable to Allen ISD, driver's license # in the memo)
- Mail a payment to: Allen High School Band; 300 Rivercrest Blvd, Allen, TX 75002 (attn: Susan Fulk)
- Credit Card or Debit Card payment through SchoolPay - link below (a fee will be included in the final payment)
Donation Drive 2024
We are halfway through the 2024 Donation Drive and over halfway to our goal!!
Students will receive donuts after the 10.18 rehearsal for achieving the $70,000 goal. Keep getting those donations so they can get the ice cream treat! The horn section is in the lead for the pizza party. For every $150 a supporter gets an Escadrille tee! Email Debbie for info on the donation drive at fundraising@allenband.com.
