Tech has finalized our new, equity-focused application and acceptance process, which went into effect when applications opened on September 3, 2024. We hope you were able to join us for one of our information sessions. This information shared during those sessions is also linked on the Partner District Resources page, located under the Apply to Tech tab on our new website. Phase 2 of the new process will be shared in our next newsletter.

Our new process includes a Priority Enrollment Deadline of December 19, 2024 for August 2025 applicants.

Admissions presentations will be held at 5, 5:30, 6, and 6:30 PM.

Our prerequisites and recommendations for several of our programs have been updated. The website reflects these changes on each program page, and the document outlining all requirements has been updated. Please note: more changes have been made since this document was distributed, so if you have a printed copy, you will need to download and print the document again to ensure you have the most current version.

EnrollTrack status meanings have also been updated to reflect the first phase of the application process. This document, also located on the Partner District Resources page, outlines the definition of each status term. Please pay close attention to the category INCOMPLETE. This means the student needs your guidance office to upload their documents so they can be eligible for lottery consideration. Thanks for supporting your students who want to attend Tech!

Students interested applying for consideration to start at Tech in January must submit an application by Thursday, October 31, 2024 at 4 PM. Programs accepting applications for January start:

• Sophomore Career Exploration AM
• Sophomore Career Exploration PM

North Tech would like to invite you and up to 60 interested 9th grade students to Freshman Career Connect this year! This 90-minute event introduces students to the career and technical offerings available through North Tech. Career Connect events will take place during the months of October, November, and December from 12 - 1:30 PM.

Students will be able to:

• Immerse into 4 different CTE Programs on our campus
• Participate in activities alongside current North Tech students
• Gain an understanding of the day-to-day expectations and experiences of North Tech
• Learn how to apply to North Tech’s Sophomore Career Exploration Program
