Welcome to the 2024-2025 Year of Hope at Aura Elementary School. I am hopeful that you and your family had many moments of togetherness and relaxation over past several months. I am excited to enter this new chapter with all of you as the new Aura Principal. With new beginnings comes growth for all of us, especially our students. I am looking forward to working with you and the Aura staff to ensure all of our students feel welcomed and supported so that they can each achieve success.

I want to kindly encourage you to do a few things, perhaps a quick summer homework assignment. As your days will become busy and filled with a flurry of excitement and many School To Do lists, try to take some time to slow down, even for a few moments and take stock in what matters most. Remember how lucky you are to have such wonderful children and know that together we will support each other this school year.

A great deal of time, effort and thought has gone into the process of student placement for the school year. Your child’s class placement letter was mailed out on Monday, August 26th for this school year. Classrooms have been balanced academically and socially. Our class lists are structured to provide equitable class sizes at each grade level. Thank you so much for being positive with your child and helping him/her understand he/she was placed in the optimal learning environment for his/her needs. Our AES family works hard to make school a positive experience for each and every student. Thank you for understanding that it can take a few weeks for a child to acclimate to a new grade, peer group and teacher.

Transportation information will be coming out soon. Please note that buses can run later than the time indicated on your bus pass due to being a new school year. We will make every effort to notify families when afternoon runs are running later than usual. This message will come via text message from Aura's Main Office. We ask for your patience as Transportation works to ensure every student is arriving to and from school safely.

Mrs. Park will need 2024-2025 medication administration forms. Parents should bring all medications into the nurse's office during school hours within the first week of school. Any updated allergies/medical concerns should be shared with Mrs. Park.
