Monday, December 16 - Thursday, December 19 are Mid Term Exam Days.

Friday, December 20 is a Student Holiday / Staff Work Day.

NOTE: FLEX time will not take place during Final Exams.

Final Exam Day Attendance Requirement

Students who are exempting an exam will report to their scheduled classroom for attendance and supervision.

This week, your McNeil Theatre Company performed “A Christmas Story”. Congratulations to all of the Maverick students on the cast and crew of the McNeil Theatre Company on another MAVERICKal performance! We can’t wait to see what you do next!

YOUR McNeil Boys Soccer teams will scrimmage Leander at Maverick Stadium on Tuesday, December 17 the JVA will play at 5:00 PM and Var will play at 6:30 PM. YOUR Maverick Men’s Soccer team will kick off the 2025 calendar by traveling to the Temple Wildcat Tournament,

January 2 – 4. Games will be played in Copperas Cove, Killeen, Temple and at Wildcat Stadium. GOOD LUCK MAVS!

YOUR Lady Mavs Basketball teams will host Vista Ridge in the Maverick Gym on Friday, December 20. Game times are Freshman at 5:15, JV at 5:30, and Varsity at 7 PM.

YOUR Lady Mavs Girls Varsity Basketball team will play in the Austin Invitational Tournament on

December 27 – 28. Then, to start the new year, YOUR Lady Mavs will travel to Cedar Ridge on

Friday, January 3. Game times are Fresh: 11:00, JV: 11:30, and Varsity: 1PM.

YOUR McNeil Boys Basketball teams will travel to Vista Ridge on Friday, December 20 to take on the Rangers. Game times are 9th A at 5:00, JV at 5:30, 9th B at 6:15 followed by the Boys Varsity Basketball @ Hays Hawks Classic on December 27 – 28. YOUR McNeil Boys Basketball team will start of 2025 against Cedar Ridge @ McNeil on Friday, January 3. Game times are 9th A: 11:00, JV: 11:30, 9th B: 12:30, and Varsity: 1:00 PM. GOOD LUCK MAVS!

YOUR Mav Wrestling Team BEAT Connally High School in a home dual meet on Wednesday. CONGRATULATIONS MAVS! This week, YOUR Maverick Wrestling team will travel to Round Rock High School on Thursday, December 19 for the Rock Wars Invitational Wrestling Meet. Over the Winter Holiday, YOUR MAV Wrestlers will be just as busy. Starting Saturday, December 21, YOUR MAVS will go to Vista Ridge High School for the Hill Country Invitational. Then on Friday, January 3 and Saturday, January 4, YOUR Mavs will bring in the new year at the Delco Athletic Center for the CenTex Tournament. GOOD LUCK MAVS!

YOUR Lady Mavs Soccer Teams will kick off the new year on Friday, January 3 starting at 12:00PM with YOUR Girls JV Soccer taking on Legacy Ranch at McNeil Stadium. Immediately following that game, YOUR Lady Mavs Varsity Soccer team will take on East Side Early College High School at 2:00PM. GOOD LUCK this season, Lady Mavs!

As a high school student in Round Rock ISD, you have many different classes and pathways to choose from in your four years. One great option is taking OnRamps courses. Click HERE for an informative video from Round Rock ISD.

In accordance with RRISD attendance policies, Maverick students who arrive to their assigned class 10 minutes late (or more) will be marked ABSENT for that CLASS.

After returning from an absence, students have 5 days to turn in excuse notes to the attendance office.

Parents may email absence excuse notes to mcneil_attendance@roundrockisd.org.

For notes to excuse an absence the note must be turned in to the attendance office or be sent as an email within 5 days of returning from the absence.
