Kura Tuatahi Toko Panui
5th September 2024
Dear Parents and Friends of our School Kia Ora/Hello/Kamusta
Kia ora koutou,
On Thursday 29th August we had a team of representatives from Waka Kotahi and Ngati Maru share with us a series of new sculptures that are planned to be erected along the Forgotten World Highway. These sculptures together form the waka belonging to Tamatea-Pokai-Whanua. We have some handouts that we will be sending home to each family today with further information about this. This was a really interactive presentation and the children got to look at miniature sculptures and ask lots of questions.
Hopefully everyone had a chance to click on the links to find out all the guidelines for bringing a calf or lamb to school for Calf & Lamb Day. Just a reminder that all guidelines are saved with the NEWSLETTERS on our website.
This week we are sharing the activities the tamariki will be involved in for the Hall of Creativity, that we participate in for Calf & Lamb Day as well. Please click on the link to find out what you need to bring to school for this. The teachers will be discussing this in class and providing examples of the sorts of creations they could make.
Term 3 is always busy with lots of events and activities for our tamariki to participate in. Can you please remember that if you want to let us know about changes to plans, pick ups, etc, please email the office to let us know. If you want your child's teacher included in the email by all means cc them in. Once teachers are in the classroom we can not guarantee they will see your emails and they will not be able to respond during teaching time.

STRATFORD LIBRARY CARDS
All classes had wonderful trip's to the Stratford library this week.
The students were enthusiastic about exploring the wide range of books and resources available.
We’re pleased to inform you that library cards are being sent home with your child today, if they had returned the membership form. These will be placed in your children's book bags. If they do not have their book bag at school we will not be sending the card home today. This card is their key to unlocking a treasure trove of knowledge and entertainment. We encourage you to visit the library as a family and take advantage of the wonderful resources available.
Happy reading!
