WELCOME FROM DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS, ROBERT FOREMAN
Bronco Fans!
What a great fall sports season so far!
Your Mustang Cheer squad earned a State-Runner Up finish at the Competitive Cheer Competition held in late September. The Lady Bronco Softball Team finished their season with a (27-9) record and advanced to the state quarter-finals. Volleyball finished the season (24-13) and at one point in the season were ranked as high as #6 in the state. The Boys Cross Country Team earned a 3rd place finish at the state meet. Junior, Noah Thayer claimed the 6A individual State Championship with a course record 15:06 and Senior Cameron Langdon finished 4th overall. Football will start their playoff push next week. Cheer and Pom will make their appearance at Game Day Regionals with high expectations of qualifying for the State Competition.
Our Winter Sports seasons will kick off at the end of November. Boys and Girls Swimming, Wrestling, and Basketball all have high expectations entering their seasons. Their schedules are included in this newsletter. We encourage everyone to come out and support our teams during the winter months.
As always, we hope you continue to support our student-athletes as they represent Mustang in a first-class manner in all of their endeavors.
Go Broncos!

BOYS BASKETBALL PREVIEW
Here is a message from Coach Hodges:
We are really excited about our team this year. We will be playing some guys that don't have a lot of experience, but we feel are ready for the challenge that our schedule presents. We have guys that care about the right things and have worked really hard to improve this offseason. We feel like this group will play the right way and compete every game. We know we will continue to get better as the year progresses and are excited to see where we are at the end of the season. It will be a fun year for us coaches and we can't wait to get started.

GIRLS BASKETBALL PREVIEW
Here is a message from Coach Bass:
We are super excited about this upcoming season for girls basketball! Not only do we return 4 starters, we have a group of returners who did not see much action last year, who are eager to make a huge impact for us. This pre-season, we changed the way we prepared our team by putting them through various tough activities to test and push them beyond their physical and mental capabilities. Our hashtag this year is #BDM which stands for "Big Dawg Mentality". We want our girls to recognize that no matter what challenges they face on and off the court, they have it in them to face the difficulties with a strong mental approach; to not run from challenges like a "little dog", but to conquer them like a "big dog"!
This year, we are going to expect big things from senior Cherish Haywood and junior Mya Alston. We believe those two will have the best seasons of their careers. We will also expect huge contributions from seniors Christal Long and Eliana Valentin-Florence, and sophomores Paige Fulmer and Lovely Haywood. We will be looking forward to the growth of juniors Ehryana and Rodryana Boykins, Gabby Sollano and Reese Poage.

WRESTLING PREVIEW
Here is a message from Coach Delk:
We are thrilled to kick off another exciting season of Mustang Wrestling! As we head into the upcoming year, we can’t help but reflect on the remarkable journey we’ve been on and the continued success of our program. Last season, our team proudly earned a Top 5 finish at the state tournament for our men and a state placer for the women at the state tournament—a huge accomplishment that underscores the hard work, determination, and spirit of our athletes and coaches. The effort and commitment put in by each wrestler and their family have truly set the bar high, and we’re ready to build on that success.
This season promises to be another chapter of growth, both individually and as a team. With new faces joining us and returning athletes looking to take their skills to the next level, we are excited for what’s to come. Our wrestlers are training harder than ever, with a focus on technique, conditioning, and building a bond of unity that will push us to new heights.
But Mustang Wrestling is more than just wins and losses. It’s about developing young athletes who understand the values of discipline, respect, and perseverance. It’s about fostering a community where families, coaches, and supporters come together to cheer, mentor, and encourage our athletes to reach their full potential.
We invite you to be a part of the excitement this season! Whether you’re attending matches, volunteering, or simply cheering on our wrestlers from home, your support plays an essential role in our success. Together, we can continue to elevate the Mustang Wrestling program and provide our athletes with the foundation to achieve greatness—on and off the mat.
