LMHS NEWSLETTER
NOVEMBER 2024
From The Principal's Desk
What a great start to the year! The beginning of the year encompasses numerous activities such as Homecoming, the Fall Musical, extra-curricular events and then we dive straight into the Holiday season. Our staff, students, and families rarely have time to take a breath! My hope is that this last long four-day weekend is a time for your family to catch your breath and recharge for the events of November and December.
A few reminders from the LMHS Office:
**Report Cards: We do not send out report cards unless you are on the “hard copy” list. You can access your student’s report card online by going to Family Access and using your parent login. These should be ready by Thursday, Nov. 14.
**Parent/Teacher Conferences are 4-8 PM on both Thursday, November 14 and Thursday, November 21. Conferences can be held either in-person or virtual this year. Just click here for the link to sign up for your individual time slot.
**I am encouraging all of you to come and see the LMHS Fall Musical, Something Rotten! Jr. Performances are 7 PM Friday and Saturday, Nov. 8 & 9 and 1:30 PM Sunday, Nov. 10. Ms. Jennifer Davids and all of the assistant directors, cast and crew have put in lots of hard work and numerous hours. Let’s help them make it a success!

FALL MUSICAL - Something Rotten! Jr.
The Lake Mills High School Drama department is proud to present Something Rotten! Jr.
Travel back to the renaissance for an hour of musical comedy gold adapted from the Broadway hit that Time out New York hailed as "the funniest musical comedy in a least 400 years", Something Rotten! Jr. celebrates one undeniable truth: "nothing's as amazing as a musical".
In the 1590's, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play but are stuck in the shadow of Shakespeare. When a local soothsayer foretells that the future of theatre involves singing, dancing and acting at the same time, Nick and Nigel set out to write the world's very first musical. But amidst the scandalous excitement of opening night, the Bottom Brothers realize that reaching the top means being true to thine own self, and all that jazz.
Performances are at 7 PM both Friday and Saturday, November 8 and 9 and 1:30 PM on Sunday, November 10.
Tickets are available in advance by contacting the school box office at (920) 648-2355 ext. 332 during box office hours of 2-6 pm Nov. 4-7 and/or one hour before each performance. Adults are $12; Seniors and under 18 are $8.

Please Help Us Out
When picking up or dropping off your student, please DO NOT BLOCK the ramped curb area in front of the school
Other people and/or buses may need that area to enter or leave our building.
Your help with this is VERY MUCH appreciated!
Parking Info.
DON'T FORGET YOUR PARKING PERMIT
Any vehicle that is parked in the Lake Mills High School parking lot during the school day is required to have a parking permit.
Permits are available for $50.
You will also need the following information:
License Plate Number
Vehicle Color, Year, Make and Model
Permits are transferrable from vehicle to vehicle so if your student needs to register 2 (or more) different vehicles, just be sure the permit is on the windshield of the one they are driving to school on that day.
Caught without a permit?? Be prepared to get a $10 ticket.
Please Pay Your Fees Reminder
Please be sure to check your student’s Skyward account for fees due. Payment may be brought into LMHS to pay in person or you can pay online.
If you selected an “optional item” (i.e. yearbook, parking permit, athletic pass), and do not pay for it by Oct. 31, it will be taken off your record.
As of November 1, Yearbooks will need to be paid for at school only. If you need a parking permit or an athletic pass, you will need to add it back on your account and you will need to pay for it right away.
Please also take care of negative lunch balances as well - thank you!
