MESSAGE FROM THE CCS ADMINISTRATION
Good Afternoon CCS Caregivers and Charlotte Residents,
We are really looking forward to Monday and the start of school. We hope you all are, too, and we know that the beginning of every school year brings with it a mixture of emotions. Faculty and staff have been energized this past week: organizing classrooms, preparing the grounds, readying the cafeteria, and so many other things. All along, they’ve beamed with excitement to get the year started with your children and our students.
Here’s one ask of our entire CCS Community; one of the most important things you can do to contribute to the safety and welcoming environment for all is to help us have an orderly arrival and dismissal from CCS. To help this collective work, please read more below about
- drop off and pick up traffic patterns,
- times of day for drop off and pick up, and
- information about the bus routes.
We share this information to help all of us be safe and to take care of ourselves, take care of each other, and to take care of this place. We appreciate all of your efforts to help our CCS community. Thank you, so very much.
Sincerely,
Jen Roth, CCS Principal
Tim O’Leary, CCS Assistant Principal
Beth Slater, CCS Director of Student Services
DROP OFF & PICK UP TRAFFIC PATTERNS
Keeping our community safe: Please respect all traffic cones and staff used to direct traffic. Thank you for following the indicated traffic patterns, driving slowly on school grounds and making safe, respectful choices behind the wheel, and never passing a school bus that has lights flashing.
If your children span these d/o and p/u locations, please use the location for the YOUNGEST child.
START TIMES, END TIMES, AND DROP OFF/PICK UP DETAILS
Arrival
- All students arriving early 7:30-7:45, should plan to remain in the cafeteria for quiet games or reading.
- Students in Kindergarten and first grade should be dropped off at the Cafeteria door between 7:45-8:00.
- Students in second through fifth grade should be dropped off at the front door after the buses have departed. Typically that starts at 7:47 and runs through 8:00.
- Students in sixth through eighth grade should be dropped off at the flagpole door between 7:45-8:00.
Students should be in their classrooms by 8:00 am. All arrivals after 8:00 should drop students off at the front door for a tardy slip.
