Hello Slater Nation!
The Slate Valley School District budget revote is coming up on May 30th. I strongly encourage family and community members to come out and cast your vote. As a district, we understand the importance of having an approved budget to help support student learning, extra-curricular activities, community building usage, and other such events. Below are the voting locations for each town:
Town of Benson -- 10 AM to 7 PM at the Benson Community hall
Town of Castleton -- 8 AM to 7 PM at the Castleton Fire Station
Town of Fair Haven -- 10 AM to 7 PM at the American Legion Post 49
Town of Hubbardton -- 10 AM to 7 PM at the Hubbardton Town Hall
Town of Orwell -- 10 AM to 7 PM at the Orwell Town Hall
Town of West Haven -- 10 AM to 7 PM at the West Haven Town Hall

Next Steps
The "Portrait of a Graduate" is a statement that captures what we value as a community for every student that graduates from FHUMHS. It is a living and breathing document that is reviewed and adjusted over time. FHUMHS is currently updating it Portrait of a Graduate. Community feedback was gathered during several events over the past four weeks. Our next steps are to take this feedback and finalize the FHU Portrait of a Graduate document. It is our hopes to role out this document for the 2024/2025 school year. Thank you for your support in this important process!
