Happenings at the Hive
January 10, 2025
Dear Solon Stinger Families,
Happy New Year! We hope you had a wonderful winter break filled with joy and relaxation. As we begin 2025, we are excited to welcome your children back to school and to embark on a new chapter together.
We’re thrilled to share that our new classroom furniture has been installed in every completed instructional space, creating engaging and comfortable learning environments for our students. Additionally, nearly all of our teachers and staff members are now settled into their permanent locations, ensuring a smooth and organized start to the second half of the school year.
In the coming days, we will communicate updates regarding new arrival and dismissal procedures. Thank you for your patience and support as we refine these processes to best serve our school community.
As we kick off this year, we are reminded of all the elements that make Solon Robinson Elementary such a special place—dedicated teachers and staff, engaged students, supportive families, and a shared commitment to learning and growth. Together, we’ll continue to foster a strong and vibrant school community.
Here’s to a fantastic start to 2025! We can’t wait to see what we’ll achieve together.
Yours in learning,
The Solon Robinson Elementary Team

What's Happening at Solon Robinson Elementary School?
With new classroom spaces and the arrival of our new furniture, several students did a new classroom scavenger hunt in order to find everything they need to be successful this school year in a new space. They had to find a new desk to sit at, find independent questions, teacher and para desks, individual plants, the calm down corner etc. Finding a new seat was the hardest part with so many fun, engaging spots to choose from, but they tried out many areas and loved the freedom and movement throughout their time in the classroom.
Academically, students continue to participate in hands-on activities that encourage problem solving, teamwork, and creativity as they design structures and work through activities in the classroom, STEM lab, and throughout our building.
All of our students are continuing to build strong relationships and celebrate milestones big and small! The energy, enthusiasm, and progress we've shared set the tone for an exciting and successful rest of the year.

January Beekeeper of the Month :: KINDNESS
KINDNESS is our January character trait. We are excited for this month because Kindness is arguably the most important character trait. Kindness is free, it's contagious and we all need more of it in our lives.
We would love to spread kindness to the Solon staff members all month long, so we are trying something different with our Student Coloring Sheet. We've created 2 'KINDNESS postcards'. Please color and fill in the blanks with the Staff members who have filled your life with KINDNESS. We will deliver these Kindness postcards as they come in. Please note that these are intended for Solon Staff members only. We have included a link to the January 'Kindness Postcards' below if you need to print extra copies.
