Welcome back! We hope you had a wonderful and restful spring break! Thanks for being a part of our village as we continue to motivate, inspire, and educate all students to be college and career ready. We are the Lions, and we'll have it no other way!!!!!!
School Announcements
1. Superhero Breakfast
- We will sponsor our "Superhero Buddy" breakfast on Friday, April 21st.
- Time: 7:00am - 8:00am. We will close doors at 8am due to instructional time.
- Flyers were sent home Monday, April 3rd.
- We are inviting our parents, grandparents, or family members to join us.
- We ask for one guest (+18 years of age) per student due to limited space.
- Please complete the reservation form on or before Tuesday, April 18th. This will allow us to have an accurate count for meal prep.
- Be sure to wear your favorite "Super Hero" t-shirt
2. Quarter 3 AWARDS Day
April 24th (Monday)
1st and 2nd: 8:15am - 9:15am
PreK and K: 9:30am - 10:30am
April 27th (Thursday)
3rd and 4th: 8:15am - 9:15am
5th - 9:30am - 10:30am
3. Purple Up Day
- Join us by dressing your scholar in purple on Wed, April 19th.
- We will wear purple on this day to show support and thank our military families from all military branches.
4. Title One Planning Meeting: (PT.1)
- Please join us Wednesday, April 19th @ 3pm
- We will present our Spring Data and work in collaborative teams for feedback on title one plan
- We would love our family input.
5. Title One Spring Data Presentation (Pt.2) and Art showcase
- Come join us for our Spring Art showcase on April 25th. We will have special presentations presented by students. This is sponsored by our related arts department.
- We will also present part 2 of our Spring Title One Data.
- The program will begin at 6pm.
6. Scholastic Book Fair:
- We will be hosting our "Buy One, Get One Free" Book Fair (April 20 - April 28, 2023)
- 8:00am - 2:00pm
- Flyers will be sent home w/ more details.
7. Relay for Life
- The Sumter School District will host our annual "Relay for Life" event on Friday, April 21st @ 5pm.
- Join us on the tracks at Hillcrest Stadium as we continue to fight for a cure for cancer.
8. PreK and Kindergarten New Student Registration:
- The window opened Monday, Feb.20th.
- Daily Registration is Monday - Friday (9am - 3pm)
- Please provide proof of the following:
A. Official Birth Certificate , Proof of Residence, Physical Examination Form (Kindergarten Only), Medicaid Card/Proof of Income (PreK Only), and South Carolina Immunization Form 4024
- Kindergarten students must be five years old by September 1, 2023.
- Prekindergarten students must be four years old on or before September 1, 2023.
- The prekindergarten program is not state mandated, and there are a limited number of slots available at each school.

9. EXACT Path: Students are encouraged to log into EXACT Path daily while at home. They have a dedicated time during the school day to work on their learning paths. However, we do encourage students to continue practicing their "Leveled" skills in their "Reading and Math" learning pathways. Students are recognized bi-weekly for their mastery progress and usage minutes.
