Principal's Message
February 2, 2025
It is Middle of the Year assessment time. We have iReady, Dibels, Sipps and panorama surveys being done. Teachers try to give students breaks in between tests. Be sure your child is eating well and getting enough sleep.
The PTA will be offering Baseball By The Books program. Keep track of your child's reading to get free Ports baseball tickets.
Mr. Lazaro is bringing Jump Rope for Heart to John Muir. John Muir has been doing this for years and the students look forward to it.
Dear Families,
Kids Heart Challenge starts soon, and we are proud to support the American Heart Association through this service-learning program. Students will learn how to have happy and healthy hearts and brains, while raising lifesaving donations to help others with special hearts. Plus, your family can learn the lifesaving skill of Hands-Only CPR through Finn’s Mission! Sign Up TODAY at //www.heart.org/schools or by downloading the FREE AHA Schools App for Apple or Android.
Students who sign up early will be recognized at our assembly on 1/31/2025!
Meet heart survivor Finn and hear how completing Finn’s Mission gives hope to everyone, everywhere. Let’s save lives together! Thank you for being a Heart Hero!

CALIFORNIA'S DAYLIGHTING LAW AB 413
We are excited to announce our collaboration with the City of Lodi to help raise awareness about California’s new traffic law, AB 413. This legislation introduces important changes at improving road safety and ensuring responsible driving practices across the state.
As a community, it’s vital that we stay informed about laws that impact our daily lives. AB 413 prohibits the stopping, standing, or parking of a vehicle within 20 feet of the vehicle approach side of any marked or unmarked crosswalk or within 15 feet of any crosswalk where a curb extension/bulbout is present, whether or not the curb is painted red. This is a safety measure known as “Daylighting”. Effective January 2025, the rules will be applied whether or not the curb is painted red.
