Friday, October 25 - Vine Shine School Wide PBIS Celebration (afternoon)

We had an amazing turn out for our PTO Fall Festival and PEAK Night! The weather was beautiful, the games and activities were fun and engaging, and the ice cream was yummy!! I was so happy to see the many families who came out to have fun with their children at the event and support their learning at the PEAK night. The next PTO meeting is November 6th at 6:00 pm. Come help us plan the next fun event for Vine Street School!

If you know your child will be out of school for a few days, please contact the office to get a planned absence form. That way you will be sure to have your child's absences from school marked as Excused! Also, please keep in mind that your child can be considered chronically absent even if all of their absences are excused. Chronically absent means your child has missed 10% of their school days, or just 17 days of school. Please try to schedule appointments for before or after school and/or during our school vacations. Thank you for continuing to support your child's education!

Thank you 3rd grade parents who made sure your student was here on time and well rested for their very important State Assessment! Vine Street appreciates your support helping your child be ready to go those mornings! The students worked hard and did their best. I was so very proud of them! They will be taking these assessments again in January (week of January 27-31) and finally in May (week of May 12-16).

Students can earn a punch in their punch card for being Respectful, Responsible, and Safe EVERYDAY during the week AND they can earn another punch for attending school EVERYDAY that week without being tardy or leaving early! Once their punch card is full, they get a special token for the Book Vending Machine! Here are some winners from this week:
