In honor of Memorial Day and all the men and women who served in the U.S. military, there is NO SCHOOL on Monday 5/27.

We want to highlight staff members and parent volunteers who go above and beyond to make our school the magical place that it is.

Staff Member: Hannah Sarlatte

Ms. Sarlatte is a dedicated Kindergarten teacher who goes above in beyond to ensure all of her students and families are supported. She helped organize the Volunteer Tea, helps all teachers complete Independent Study paperwork, and sits on the district Math committee. Ms. Sarlatte also coaches softball in her spare time!

Parent: Lindsay Doyle

Lindsay Doyle actively supports all McKinley events and consistently contributes in various capacities. She organized a successful Jog-A-Thon at the start of the year, played a key role in planning our school auction, volunteered for the school play, and participated in numerous other initiatives. Lindsay’s unwavering support for McKinley and our students is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Lindsay!

The PACS Leadership students are putting on their annual Field Day on the last day of school - Friday, June 7. They could use a dozen parents during each shift (grades TK-3, 4-6, and 7-8) plus a few helpers to clean up at the end of the day.

Finals Week - June 3 - June 7

As this academic year draws to a close, we are actively preparing for the upcoming school year. We are currently seeking candidates for a school counselor, PACS Spanish teacher, and an aid for the RSP classroom. Thank you to Chris Lum, Ms. Lacey, and Doña Alicia for an amazing year. We wish you the best in your next adventure!

Mr. D-Z will be moving into the Bilingual Resource Teacher position for the upcoming school year. This is a specialist position focused on providing English Language Development instruction for our English Learner students, supporting classroom teachers in implementing EL instructional strategies, and advocating for our EL community. Mr. D-Z will be supporting both McKinley and Valley Vista in this capacity next year, and he could not be more excited for this next step.

Mr. Caamano will be moving to the 7th grade PACS position and is beyond excited to teach Science to our 7th and 8th grade students. He is passionate about supporting all of our students and dedicated to broadening the diversity of PACS.

PACS will be making a few programatic changes for next year. The PACS team has worked on the vision for our program and would like to find more ways to support all of our students. Next year, Ms. Roach and Mrs. Gill will continue teaching English and History. Mrs. Clemmens will teach Math to all 7th and 8th grade students.

Greetings from your McKinley/PACS PTA! We have so much exciting news to share!

First, the numbers are in!!! Our Spring Fundraising, including the Mustang Social event and online auction, the teacher experience raffle, and the Cinco de Mayo celebration, brought in over FORTY TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS! Thank you to everyone who donated, purchased, and volunteered to raise these funds for our 500+ amazing students!

Teacher Experience Raffle Winners have been drawn! Parents/guardians of the winners have been contacted. If contact information was not included on the ticket we are working to connect the teacher with the winner and someone will be in touch. Thank you everyone for playing!
