Hello From Your Woodside Board!
Woodside Board of Directors' Newsletter - September 2024
A message from your chair...
Dear Woodside Community,
I hope this second edition of our newsletter finds you well and that your family has adjusted well to the start of this school year. These transitions can be both challenging and exciting, so I hope that any obstacles you've had to face are becoming smaller and that you are able to find the support you need. Personally, one of the reasons my husband and I have felt so fortunate to have our children at Woodside School is because of the community we have joined. We feel supported by the loving, caring, and dedicated teachers and connected to parents we have met over time at pick up and drop off. So, if you are still working through those obstacles, I encourage you to reach out to your children's teacher(s) - they are a wealth of knowledge and so kind, and share stories with parents you meet along the way. You never know what you will learn :)
In this edition, I am excited to share several updates and highlights. As a Board of Directors, we first wish to WELCOME Rachel, Preston, Kassidy, and Allyson - all new staff at the South Fruit Street site, as well as Amie, Christa, Grace, Morgan, and Alexx - all recently hired at the St. Paul's School site. Thank you and welcome to Woodside! We wish you all a warm welcome.

Woodside School St. Paul's School Center Director
The hiring process for a new Center Director at the St. Paul's School campus is underway. A hiring committee was established which includes one of our Lead Teachers at the SPS site, Parents, Board Members, our Business Manager, and our Center Director at the SFS site. We have received many applications and have enjoyed interviewing several qualified candidates this week. As of today, we have identified some excellent finalists who will be interviewed by our Board of Directors next week, and we hope to make an offer by the end of next week. We look forward to continuing this process and finding a new Center Director who will support the continued growth of the SPS site. Stay tuned!
We wish to thank Kellie Goble, SPS Center Director, for her many years of dedication to Woodside School across both locations. Her joy and love of working with children and watching them grow has been ever-present, as well as her dedication. Thank you, Kellie, for all you have done for the Woodside children, families, and staff members. While Kellie will be supporting remotely as the transition is made to a new Center Director, her last day in person will be next Wednesday, September 18th, so be sure to thank her and wish her well in person over the next few days.

Woodside School, Inc. Selected for Charitable Gaming Opportunity!
Even more exciting is that we were already selected for 10 days, the maximum number a single charity can have in a calendar year, and very soon! During each of these days (October 2nd-6th and November 21-25), Woodside School, Inc. will receive a portion of the proceeds made by the Lebanon Poker Room and Casino. We are excited to see the outcome of this opportunity and to continue working with the New Hampshire Lottery Commission.
Thank you Kristi and Michele for all your hard work!

Staff Member Spotlight
Michele Parenti, Woodside School's Business Administrator
Hi everyone! My name is Michele Parenti and I am the Business Manager here at Woodside. I’ve been with Woodside now for 12 ½ years. At Woodside, I take care of all the financial items. I process all the payments, do all the billing, pay all the bills. I also help with fundraising, budgeting and anything else needed of me. Prior to Woodside, I worked for a company doing all their accounting functions.
I do have a bachelors degree in Elementary Education with minors is Psychology and Math. Prior to having my family, I taught 1st grade in Goffstown. I’ve been married to my husband David for 36 years and we have 4 adult children, 1 granddaughter and a grandson on the way!
In my spare time I enjoy reading, kayaking, traveling and doing pretty much anything outside.
Thank you, Michele, for all you do!
Director Spotlight
Fritz Moeckel, Board of Directors
Each month, I hope to highlight/spotlight a different board member/director. For this second issue, I wanted to take the time to thank Fritz Moeckel.
Fritz has served on the Woodside Board of Directors for 6 years, serving two terms - the greatest continuous amount of time allowed within our bylaws. He has continued to support Woodside throughout this time and contribute to the growth of this organization in many ways. Fritz's second term comes to a close on September 21st, and we wish to thank him for the dozens and dozens of hours he has volunteered to Woodside School. Thank you for all your support Fritz!
