Individual Student MAP/EOC Scores Released by State
MRH Elementary, Middle and High School Families,
Individual student results from the Spring 2024 Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) and End Of Course (EOC) testing are now available for parents and guardians to review. Overall District and school level results are embargoed and will be shared publicly at an upcoming school board meeting.
MAP and EOC assessments help us gauge how well students are reaching Missouri's learning standards. The results are utilized to strategically tailor MRH curriculum and instruction to meet students' needs.
You can access your student’s performance level and scale score by logging into your parent PowerSchool account and selecting Test Scores from the menu on the left hand side. (Disregard the percentage information as it does not apply to these assessments). If you have problems logging into PowerSchool, you can fill out the Parent Help Form at the bottom of the login page.
Student achievement is broken down into four performance levels:
Advanced: The student demonstrates advanced proficiency in the knowledge and skills necessary at this grade level/course, and a thorough command of the skills and processes as specified in content expectations.
Proficient: The student demonstrates proficiency in the knowledge and skills necessary at this grade level/course, and an adept command of the skills and processes as specified in content expectations.
Basic: The student demonstrates partial proficiency in the knowledge and skills necessary at this grade level/course, and a partial or uneven command of the skills and processes as specified in content expectations.
Below Basic: The student does not yet demonstrate proficiency in the knowledge and skills necessary at this grade level/course, and a minimal command of the skills and processes as specified in content expectations.
If you have questions about your student’s test scores or would like to request a physical copy of their Individual Student Report (ISR), please reach out to the school building office. Thank you for your continued support of MRH and our students.
Looks Like She Made It: MRH Music Teacher Takes Stage with Barry Manilow
Thursday’s Barry Manilow concert at Enterprise Center in St. Louis became a once-in-a-lifetime experience for MRH vocal music instructor Nadia Maddex. She was invited to sing in Manilow’s choir!
“I had SO much fun. What a dream to sing (and dance) on the same stage with a LEGEND like Barry,” said Ms. Maddex. “What a blessing to have had such a wonderful opportunity, and to do it in such great company. I’ll be thinking about that night for a long time!”
Maddex is no stranger to performing before large crowds. Twice, she has delivered the National Anthem at STL City SC matches and has sung on stage with other national touring acts.
Back to School Sales Tax Holiday, August 2-4
Missouri's annual sales tax holiday takes place from August 2 through August 4. Certain back-to-school purchases such as clothing, school supplies, computers and other items as defined by statute are exempt from sales tax for this time period only.
Meal Prices Changes for 2024/2025
For the 2024-2025 school year, we have made some adjustments to the prices for breakfast and lunch.
In the past, we were able to offer free breakfast for all students through the Provision 2 program. However, due to changes in eligibility criteria, we no longer qualify for Provision 2. This will require students who have reduced or full status to pay accordingly for their breakfast.
Provision 2 allowed us to streamline meal distribution by providing free meals for all students without the need for individual applications. While this change means we can no longer offer free lunch for all students, please be assured that we remain committed to providing nutritious and affordable meal options.
We understand that these changes may raise questions, and we are here to address any concerns you may have. If you have questions regarding meals, please reach out to Dallas Schwegel of Chartwells.
