Updates and Reminders

This week we are collecting canned fruit and veggies for the Goochland Christmas Mother.
Join us for the Byrd Bazaar this Thursday from 5:30-7! Curbside Creations will be on site serving dinner!

Reminder: There is no school on Election Day - Tuesday, November 5th
Our school Spelling Bee is this Wednesday!
Special visitors from the local American Legion Auxiliary will be at school this week teaching kids about Veteran's Day.
Students from Goochland High School will be at Byrd this week reading to our students!
Family Movie night is coming soon - Thursday, November 21!

The Byrd Bazaar Is This THURSDAY!

BES is having our yearly Bazaar to help others in our community and students right here at school! All of the money from the Bazaar will be divided between two great causes. Money that is raised will be split between our school and a business/cause in Goochland County (ex.Goochland Animal Shelter). There are many wonderful handmade products for sale this year! If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Donovan - mdonovan@glnd.k12.va.us Be sure to come to the market to support our students! We look forward to seeing you at the Byrd Bazaar on November 7th from 5:30-7:00!

Byrd Is Collecting for Our Local Food Pantry

Thank you for supporting our October food pantry drive! This week we continue to support our community by teaming up with the Goochland Christmas Mother to collect canned veggies and fruit!

BES is partnering with Dickie's Apple Orchard to bring you the freshest apples! Get your apples for all of your holiday baking needs, and also support our school through this fundraiser! Send in your order form with payment or pay using the Online School Payment System. More information is on the flyer below!

Helpful Links & Info

Please notify the office about transportation changes via email at beseagles@glnd.k12.va.us. If you have daily transportation needs, please make sure you provide changes at the beginning of each week for the entire week. Please make sure you have all transportation changes in prior to 1:00 PM, this allows staff time to communicate all necessary changes and avoids confusion when a call is not received. We appreciate your support.

Parents who wish to chaperone a field trip or volunteer regularly in our school must submit to a background check every 2 years using the BIB portal. The process is completely electronic. If you are having problems with the system, contact Demetra Harris at dharris@glnd.k12.va.us.
