Back to School!
Spicewood Elementary
Hello Spicewood Families!
It was wonderful to see so many families at our Meet the Teacher and Back to School Bash event last night. It is amazing how much our students grow over the summer! Our staff is excited to get the new year started and we are proud to serve this amazing community.
I wanted to share with you a bit about our staff theme as we kickoff the new year! Last Monday teachers returned to campus and we had meaningful discussions about what we have all learned from our years in education. We talked about our personal growth as well as Spicewood's campus growth. We shared pictures of ourselves from our first year teaching and had wonderful conversations about how much we have all grown as educators and what we have learned through the years. It was a powerful discussion. With the 50th year celebration of our campus this year, it is important that we think about what we want for our students and community and our legacy. Our motto for the year is Celebrating Our Past, Working Towards Our Future! There are so many great things about Spicewood and we are proud to be a part of it's rich history.
I truly hope you can feel the excitement and energy in the air as you return to campus on Tuesday for our First Day of School!
Sincerely,
Melanie Solis
Principal

Please Join PTA Today!
One of the amazing things about Spicewood is our PTA support. We would not be able to fund so many of the clubs, programs, and curriculum support tools without the assistance of the generous support of our parents through PTA.
Please see the note below about joining our PTA:
Hello Spicewood Families!!
We are all looking forward to another wonderful 2024/2025 school year at Spicewood!! It's that time of year again to sign up for the PTA!
Spicewood is a school that is considerably reliant on its community. Every parent has a talent, skill, passion, or time. We rely on those skills to help keep our students in an unique education. Our PTA funds and runs a lot of the programs our students participate in, our teachers use, and our IB community thrives. It is with your PTA membership and support that we are able to give our Teachers and Students incredible support throughout the school year. Please consider signing you, your partner and your children up today!
