Family Newsletter

Dear St. Anne Parents,
I want to thank all of you for being so generous with your donations to the homeless families living at St. Joseph Family Center. We have collected over $2,000.00 so far. Yesterday after school, Ms. Wong, Ms. Lam, Mrs. Wilson and I took fourteen (K-8) students shopping at Target for 11 children ages newborn - 16 years old. I have to say, "You parents have done a great job training your children to be discriminating shoppers." The children knew exactly what was a good deal and what the children would like to play with or wear. This experience is another attempt on our part to involve our students with helping to improve the lives of other people. Who knows better what a 10 year old child would like, other than another child! In addition to the children's gifts, we are able to give the parents a Target gift card that they can use to buy a gift or two. Donating money to help other children and parents in need and then going out shopping for those families is another lived-out example of one of our Schoolwide Learning Expectations...."...caring for our worldwide family." Again, thank you moms and dads for giving your children this opportunity to grow and develop in their awareness of and care for people in need.
CHRISTMAS PROGRAM....DEC. 16
Our Christmas Program will take place next Thursday, Dec. 16. Students can be dropped off in their classrooms starting at 6:30, but MUST be in their classroom by 6:45 at the latest . Parents should then walk up to Moriarty Hall. Our very fun and talented school choir will warm up the audience with their broad range of songs from 6:30 - 6:55. The Christmas Show will begin at 7:00. The program will conclude around 8:30. Please know that we want every class to have a full audience, thus no child is allowed to be picked up until the entire show is over around 8:30
PLEASE NOTE: The Irving Street gate will be the ONLY gate open to get into the school yard. That gate will open at 6:15. Parents will be stationed at the Irving Street gate directing you where to park so we can get everyone into the yard safely and cars parked in an organized manner.
