School Safety is our # 1 Priority
When parents/guardians come to the front doors of the school they will be asked for valid identification. A child will not be released to anybody without proper identification. The parent/guardian will then need to sign the child out on a form indicating why the child is leaving, and the time they are picking up their learner.
If Parents/guardians wish to pick up their child early, this must be done by 3:15 pm. If it is past 3:15 pm, the child will go home on their normal route for safety concerns.
Bus Transportation
Parents/Guardians were required to complete the busing application by June 30th to be guaranteed the bus. Your child’s bus route will be visible in the Parent Portal. We encourage you to make a copy of your child’s bus pass and place it in their backpack in a ziploc bag. Please be aware that if you did not complete a bus application and you do not have a bus pass for the 2024-2025 school year, your child will not be allowed on the bus. DO NOT PUT YOUR CHILD ON THE BUS WITHOUT A BUS PASS FROM THE 2024/2025 SCHOOL YEAR. Any child put on the bus without a bus pass will not be able to ride the bus home.
All buses will drop off and pick up students in the front of the building.
Student Drop Off & Pick Up Zone
Arrival:
Parents/Guardians who drop their child/children off by car will go to the Drop off Zone by following the arrows in the Parking Lot. The Drop Off Zone is located by the gym. Learners should be on the passenger side of the vehicle to exit to the sidewalk. No-one is permitted to get out of their vehicle at any time while dropping learners off to allow traffic to continue to flow.
Walkers walk to the Drop Off Zone and enter school by the gym vestibule.
Kindergarten parents/guardians may walk their child/children to the kindergarten doors (#4) at the front of the school if they are walkers.
Kindergarten students that are being dropped off by vehicle will go to the Drop Off Zone.

Attendance
School begins at 8:55 am and the learners are dismissed at 3:30 pm. It is imperative to send your child to school everyday. If your child is feeling ill or is sick we ask that you keep your child home. After two consecutive days of having your child stay home due to illness, we ask that you provide a doctor’s note when your child returns back to school. If a child is consistently absent, we will send notices home and reach out to you directly to address this concern.
Notifying the School of Student Absences
If your child is going to be absent due to illness or any other reason, please call the attendance line at 732-650-5370 and press 1. Please state the child’s name, ID number and reason for absence by 9:30 am so we can adjust their attendance. Families also have the option to report the absence directly in Parent Portal. On the Summary Screen, select Notify Attendance Office. Use the dropdowns to input the correct information regarding your child’s absence. If you do not call your child out or go into the Parent Portal by that time, the school will send an automatic call to your house asking you to call the office.
Technology
Every learner will be provided with a device. Parents/Guardians are encouraged to purchase insurance to avoid replacement or repair costs for damaged devices. Device Insurance covers damage that occurs during the school day or at home. More information will follow once devices are distributed.
PTO
The PTO will be sending out information for you to join. The cost to join the PTO will be $12.00 for the year. The PTO sponsors assembly programs and purchases a variety of items for the school that benefit your child/children.
We hope that everyone will join the PTO.
Please visit our Online Spirit Wear Store.
Mrs. Gluchowski and I look forward to working collaboratively and cooperatively with all of you. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact the school at 732-650-5370.
