CES- Principal Message
September 22, 2024
Happy Sunday, Chameleon Families!
Congratulations to Ms. Crowcroft's class and Ms. Peterson-Jenkins' class for winning the Chameleon's Tail this Friday! Tomorrow starts our week-long Hispanic Heritage Spirit Week! We have loved having some of our students read our Carpenter Pledge in Spanish and share some history and facts about Spanish-speaking countries and people this past week. They've done such a great job!
As you are dropping off your child(ren) or picking them up, please slow down in our parking lot. We have cars backing out of parking spaces and people walking in the parking lot. It is very dangerous when people are going too fast in the parking lot. This is most often occurring if you are running late to drop your student off or are late to pick them up at carpool. Please remember- carpool ends between 4:00-4:10. Thank you.

Spelling Bee Information
Parents, on Thursday we will have our classroom spelling bees for Tracks 2-4. There are a few things to remember:
- If your student is absent or is late to school and misses the classroom spelling bee, there is no make up time. They will not be able to make it up or participate in any way, unfortunately, and will not be able to move on to the next round.
- Students do not have to participate in the spelling bee if they don't want to, but it should be a conversation held with family before Thursday.
- Please do not put extra pressure on your child to be the winner of the classroom spelling bee. They are putting enough pressure on themselves. We can only have one winner in each class. We want to focus on the educational value of this experience and not on winning or losing. Thank you for your support.
