Parkland Magnet Middle School

• Monday, our 8th graders will have their promotion rehearsal during Period 7 and they will be receiving their promotion tickets so we ask families to please check their tickets to ensure you have the right amount.
• On Tuesday evening, we have our 6th grade awards night.
• On Wednesday, our 7th graders have their end of year field trip to Smokey Glen.
• On Thursday, NJHS is hosting a game of Hide and Seek afterschool. Please register using the flyer below.
• On Thursday night, we have our 7th grade awards night.
• On Friday night, our 8th graders have their 8th grade dance.

• Students should be picked up promptly at 8:30
• Snacks, a DJ, amazing decor, a fun time and memories for a lifetime will be present!
• Tickets and permission slips began being sold and collected on Thursday, June 1 at lunch, and will continue to be sold until Weds. June 7 at lunch. Please note it is CASH ONLY!

• Students should be there by 5:30 PM. The ceremony is set to start at 6:30 and it is important that we have time to get set up with them ahead of time.
• Promotion Rehearsal will be this Monday June 5 at Parkland during 7th period.
• Families who were selected by lottery to receive extra tickets will be notified via email by Tuesday, June 6.
• Students will receive all of their tickets in a personalized envelope during History classes Weds June 7, and Thurs. June 8

• We will be leaving Parkland and 9:30 AM and getting back at approximately 6 PM. Students need to be picked up promptly at that time from Parkland.
• Permission slips and dues were already due on Monday, May 29.
• Please make sure to dress appropriately and comfortably for walking and bring a change of clothes if you would like to go on the water rides- lockers can be rented at the front of the park.
• The meal voucher includes a drink, an entree and a snack- but if you have a season ticket you will have to purchase your own meal.
• The park is cashless- but you can bring cash and get a cash card at the park to use.

PTSA has a few important announcements this week:

• PTSA is looking for nominees for the 2023-2024 Board.
• PTSA will host their final meeting of the year on Tuesday, June 13 @ 7:00 pm via Zoom.
• PTSA continues to host a clothing fundraiser drive with Parkland SGA. See flyer for more information.
  
• PTSA is also asking families to donate $8 for our 8th grade End of Year activities. Please see the flyer below.

KID Museum is proud to provide a scholarship for their summer camp. Please see the flyer below.

Also, KID Museum will allow Parkland to continue use PROMO CODE: PMS23 for free tickets to the KID Museum for rest of the school year!

We will be hosting a Cavalier Activities Fair on Tuesday June 6 from 6 to 7 pm on our stadium field. This activities fair is for you to see what we have to offer. The focus will be our athletics teams as well as some of the clubs. See the attached flyer for the specific clubs. You will have a chance to talk to current student athletes and coaches about what to expect with high school athletics. There will be Kennedy gear for sale and concessions will be open.
