This past week was a busy one for local school officials and law enforcement agenices across the nation with social media threats. I want to ensure our community every threat we receive is taken seriously, and we work directly with Goodyear PD to determine any course of action needed. I want to continue to encourage everyone to report any threats directly to Goodyear PD. Report. Don't Repost!

We have three weeks remaining until Fall Break, the end of First Quarter. Please encourage students to continue to communicate with their teachers regarding any missing work and stay on top of deadlines. Students are encouraged to take advantage of RTI time and sign up for the sessions needed.

Picture Retakes - I want to apologize for the issues we have been having with our school photos. Apparently, there were several photos lost from the original picture days at the start of the school year. We are hopeful we will catch everyone on Monday 9/16. Anyone we are missing was notified on Friday. Additionally, anyone wanting to retake their photo will have an opportunity on Monday as well. The schedule for pictures is listed below.

Participate in MECHA's Second Annual Latino Heritage Spirit Week! Starting September 16 and ending the 20th. You do not need to be Latino, all are welcome to participate!

Monday is Traditional Dress Day: Wear traditional clothing from your culture; Tuesday is Latino Music Day: Wear band, artists, concert t-shirts; Wednesday is Latino Pride Day: Wear shirts or accessories with empowering messages and symbols of Latino pride OR you can wear the colors of a Latino country's flag you'd like to represent; Thursday is Latino Legends Day: Dress up as or wear shirts representing influential Latino figures; and lastly on Fiesta Friday wear school colors with a Latino twist or wear something fun like flower crowns, sombreros, or festive accessories.

There will be fun lunch activities everyday, be on the lookout!

Tigers Dance Department Donation Page: Your tax credit or club account donation will help purchase new costumes for our program, help to support the overhead cost of putting on our semester dance concerts, offset the cost of field trips, help towards the bus for our annual California Dance Tour in March or students attending this trip and so much more! Exciting news—Millennium Cheer and Pom are hosting a **Junior Tigers Clinic** for youth in grades K through 8! It’s happening on **Saturday, September 28th**, from 9:00 AM to noon, with a chance to perform at halftime during the Millennium vs. Desert Edge game on **October 4th**.

No experience needed! For $75, participants get a clinic, t-shirt, bow, snacks, and drinks. Tell your younger siblings or friends to sign up by scanning the QR code on the flyers or visiting the link provided.

Students at Millennium can get a free 30-minute tutoring session with members of the Millennium chapter of National Honor Society. This "Tiger Tutoring" is a volunteer service that is offered only to MHS students. If your student might need some assistance in their classes, please have them complete the below-linked Google Form.
