Jackson Journal
June
Dear All Jackson Families,
I just want to thank you all for your support through my first year as Jackson Elementary Principal. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with each and every student, staff member and family at Jackson. Even when times get tough, I feel we work as team to problem solve with the best interest of kiddos in mind. I will be working all summer, so don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions or concerns. I hope you all have a restful, safe, and healthy summer. I look forward to being back as a Jackson family for the 2024-25 school year.

Meet Your Teacher 2024-25
Mark your calendars. Meet your teacher will take place on Tuesday August 27th from 4-6pm. This special event is earlier than normal this year due to teacher professional development days and a guest motivational speaker for all MPSD staff during teacher in-service week. Because of this, I ask you please be patient. Teachers are not required to be back to work until August 26th. Teachers work SO hard to have rooms ready for this special event, but due to schedule changes this year, they may not have enough time to get the classroom totally ready. Please use this time to meet your teacher and show your child where they need to go on the first day of school. Tour the school and plan for drop off and pick up spots. I 100% promise ALL rooms will be ready to go on the first day.
Jackson Staff Changes 2024-25
- After 21 years at Jackson Elementary, this will be Patrice Fischer's last year. She started her career as Office Assistant at Jackson, then eventually took over as Head Secretary. Many Jackson staff have worked with Patrice their entire careers. I have been fortunate to work with her for 2 years. I am sad she is leaving, but excited for her with her next adventures in life.
- We have 3 new Special Education Paraprofessionals starting next school year at Jackson: Asher Stokes, Kayla Bast, and Daytona Seehaver.
- I'm excited to announce that Olivia Nonemacher will be our new 4th grade teacher. Olivia has taught in the Lacrosse area for the past 4 years and is moving closer to family. We are excited to have her on our Jackson Team.
- Colleen Piaskowski will be joining Jackson as our Teacher Interventionist. Her role will be to teach an SFA reading block, work with our school counselor to take over SFA Solution Coordinator roles, and help with student behaviors.
- Stan Mrozinski will be joining our special education team. Stan has worked at Wilson for the past 5 years and is excited to take on an elementary role.
- A few of our Jackson staff are moving to other schools or in another direction: Mrs. Hang, Mrs. Check, Ms. Eisenschink, Mr. Kiley-We wish you the best of luck and thank you for being part of the Jackson staff.
SFA Chat-With Mr. Sleger
We made it through our first year of implemented Success For All. In September, we had 41% of
our Jackson students reading at grade level proficiency. By the end of the school year, we had 60%
of our students reading at grade level proficiency! WOW! This is a HUGE celebration! I am very
proud of the hard work we have done throughout this school year. Have a relaxing and fun summer
and of courseā¦keep reading!
