VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES SOS HELP NEEDED!!
EXTRA HOURS AWARDED: FARE FOR ALL: Are you able to help members of our community put groceries in their cars? Your help is needed at our Diamondhead Education Center Atrium from 3p-5p on the following dates: April 23, May 21, June 25, July 30, Aug. 27, Sept 24, Oct 22, Nov. 19, and Dec. 17. You will earn 6 hours of community service for each day you volunteer.
Spring Clean Up On Monday May 5th 2:40-3:20p, YSAC will be sponsoring our annual Spring Clean Up Event on the BHS Campus in honor of our National Earth Day. Students will meet at door 18 in the E commons. Volunteers will be provided with garbage bags and gloves. This is a great event to earn 4 hours of volunteer service. Use the link to sign up today!
Family Fun Night at Eagle Ridge Middle School We are going to have a variety of activities, including arcade games, ping pong, board games, open gym, and concessions. We are looking for volunteers who would be willing to volunteer to help with any of these activities. Thursday May 8th from 5:45p-8p you will earn 4.5 hours of volunteer service. Basketball at BHS for Blaze Swim Team On May 17 and 18, students can earn volunteer hours while watching basketball at Burnsville High School. Sign up as a court monitor to earn service hours. Special Olympics Minnesota 2025 Summer Games June19-22nd Special Olympics Minnesota will be hosting our biggest event of the year, the 2025 Summer Games. We will be taking over the University of Minnesota this entire weekend and have competitions in Swimming, Basketball, Track and Field and Gymnastics! At this event Special Olympic athletes from all over the state will be competing for gold in their sport. We will be offering volunteer roles in all sports, health and general event support- so we really have a role for everyone AND could really use the help! BrainPower in a BackPack is offered as a volunteer opportunity each Thursday afterschool from 2:36-3:20. 1 hour of service is given for participation. Percy Jackson Musical at BHS
Burnsville High School's Theatre Guild is excited to finish out Season 64 with The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical Directed by Maddie Stuart, the local production runs May 8-17. Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances begin at 7pm, with a Saturday matinee at 2pm on the 17th. Tickets are $12 for adults, $11 for seniors and $10 for students. This show is recommended for students ages 9+.
This dynamic musical adaptation of Rick Riordan's bestselling book opened on Broadway in 2019. When teenager Percy Jackson discovers he's a demigod, he and his friends embark on an epic journey to find Zeus' missing lightning bolt and prevent a war among the gods.
