PickUp Patrol
MES will continue to use the PickUp Patrol system for any school year changes such as absences, early dismissals, authorized individuals to pick up at car line and regular dismissal changes.
You should have received your PickUp Patrol Welcome Email with login credentials last week. Please review your child's default plans. If any default changes need to be made, please reach out to Carolyn Hubbard via email at chubbard@mpsd.org with any permanent dismissal changes that need to be made .
Please click here for additional information on how the portal system works for parents. Please contact the front office with any questions or concerns.
Nurse's Notes
Welcome back to school! I look forward to working closely with families and students this year to promote health and wellness. Not only is "your health your wealth", but it is also lucrative to a functioning body and mind. Parents, take a moment to reconnect with yourself in peace by practicing deep breathing, yoga, or doing something gentle and meditative for yourself (i.e. get outdoors, go for a walk, listen to relaxing music etc.) and be creative with providing opportunities for your children to do the same. Commit to both you and your child(ren) to getting proper rest, eating a nutritious diet and exercising to keep bodies strong, energized and refreshed.
What's Happening in the MES Health Office:
Health Records:Please be sure that your child's health / immunization record is up to date- by sending in the most recent copy of your child's physical exam. All students in Kindergarten and 4th grade are required to provide this documentation per state mandate.
Medications: If your child needs any medication during the school day (one that is either scheduled or on an as needed basis) please call Nurse Mudge directly for specifics. It is not good practice to send medication to school with your child, as it could get lost or mishandled. All medications should be handed off by an adult- directly to the Nurse. All medications need to be properly labeled and must be accompanied with a Medication Authorization (Dr's order) from the prescribing MD, along with a Parent Consent- which can be found on the school's web site: Located under Administration click on Health Services and scroll down to medication administration.
Please feel free at any time to contact Nurse Carolyn Mudge by phone 781-319-3985 or email cmudge@mpsd.org
Annual Vision and Hearing Screenings will begin as soon as all students' health records are accounted for and charted with Nurse Mudge
