WMS updates and reminders

This Thursday, November 21st students will be treated to a Thanksgiving lunch of Turkey, Mashed potatoes, gravy, salad, peach cups, corn, a cookie. There will also be vegetarian options of pbj, power packs, yogurt, banana bread, and a cheese stick.
This Friday, 11/22 marks the halfway point of the second quarter. Our messaging to students has continued to be focused on completing all assignments, and maximizing use of their time to prepare for assessments.
The school has received some complaints about drivers that continue to try and skirt the drop off procedures. We've received calls about parents using the neighborhood courts south of the school, dropping of students in the middle of warrior way, parking in staff spots, driving around established lines, etc. While we understand that everyone has places to be, please be aware that all of these things inconvenience others and contribute to slower times for everyone else. Please be patient and abide by the procedures and areas listed below on the map.
This Tuesday evening the WMS choir concert will take place in the middle school auditorium starting at 6:00pm. Please follow the designated times for arrival sent out by Ms. Savage.

With the holiday season arriving we recognize that not all students have the same opportunities to enjoy the holidays. If your family is in need of assistance please fill out this form.

Culture presentations

Student's in Mrs. Correa's FOCUS block shared culturally significant information about their Nepalese culture with their peers, which included some exposure to cuisine.

Go Kart time

Sixth grade students were able to trial out their go kart prototypes in Mrs. Grave's sixth pre-engineering class. Students had to design a drill powered kart that could carry their weight a given distance.

You can't take it with you

It was fantastic to see many former WMS theater students now performing in the high school rendition of 'You can't take it with you'. WMS students were able to get a preview of the play this week.

Athletics

Hometown Ticketing

Varsity Ticket events are $7 up to 1 hour before the event. At the gate tickets are $8 (use of a card includes a fee at the gate). Middle School tickets are $5.

All athletes should enter and exit the building through the 600 hall (Door 7) entrance before and after practice each day.
