Dear Parents and Guardians,

We hope this message finds you well. As we reflect on the past week and look forward to the next, we want to share some important information with you.

First and foremost, we want to express our heartfelt appreciation for your continued support and encouragement. Your involvement in our school community is invaluable, and it contributes significantly to the positive learning environment we strive to maintain at Lakota Tech High School.

Last week, we held an assembly to reinforce our commitment to safety. We introduced the "Hear or See Something, Say Something" initiative to our staff and students, and we're now extending this message to you. We are incredibly grateful to those students and parents who have reported concerns about social media posts, text messages, or conversations that could potentially threaten the safety of our students and staff.

Your vigilance has allowed us to:

1. Promptly investigate potential threats and ensure the safety for all

2. Maintain our regular instructional processes

3. Continue with our high school events as planned

As we enter the coming week, we encourage you to have open conversations with your students about the importance of reporting any concerns they may have. Please reassure them that:

- It's safe to report things they see or hear

- All reports will be kept anonymous

- No names will be mentioned

Our goal is to work together to ensure that Lakota Tech High School remains a safe space for learning, sports, and community events. We value the amazing, positive learning family we have here, and with your help, we can preserve and strengthen this environment.

Tuesday:
- Boys Golf at Spearfish Invite, Spearfish Canyon Golf Club 10am tee time
- Volleyball game vs. Bennett County C team 4:30pm start JV and Varsity to follow
- JV Football @ RC Christian 4:30pm Kick Off
Wednesday:
- Inclusive Learning Parent Engagement Night 4-7:45pm (See the list in the link below to see if its your required night to stay and the agenda)
- Parent & Family Action Board Petitions are due
- Sports practices 3:45 - 5:45 activity buses leave at 6:00 pm
Thursday:
- Cross Country at Eldon Knudson Invitational Custer SD at 2:00pm
- OLCSD Board Meeting at LTHS 3pm
- Volleyball Home Game vs. Mahpiya Luta 4:30pm C, JV, V
Friday:
- Football game at Hot Springs 6pm kick off
