Let the Countdown Begin!
Let the Countdown Begin...School Starts in ONE Week!
Dear Bateman Families & Friends,
We are just ONE week away from the start of the 2024-2025 School Year and are giddy with excitement to have a building full of joyful learning once again! Today, we welcomed back our incredible team of educators to the building. Together, we will be busy planning for a smooth start to the year throughout this week.
Each family should have received a Classroom Placement email today indicating your child's homeroom teacher. If the primary contact of the household did not receive an email or were unsuccessful in previously viewing your child's placement in Parent Portal, please ensure that your contact information is updated with Ms. Rivera.
While our teachers and staff are preparing, we strongly encourage you to do the same by utilizing the Top Ten List for Back to School Success below! We look forward to providing further details regarding each item throughout the week and even more information at the Back to School Bash on Friday, August 23rd.
Let's all get ready to #BeBateman!
Warmly,
Ms. Davos and Ms. Kloepper

PURCHASE YOUR SCHOOL SUPPLIES
Check off items from the School Supplies Lists
School Supplies are unique to each grade level. Check the School Supply Lists to make sure your child is ready for the start of the school year! Make sure to follow teacher directions if you are in primary grades and have community supplies or if you should add your child's name to each supply. Want an easier morning for the first day of school? Bring your supplies to the Back to School Bash on Friday, August 23rd!
MAKE YOUR ROUTE TO SCHOOL
Daily attendance is a key indicator of student success. It is vital for all students to arrive on school on time, ready to learn and have a great day!
- Students should not miss more than 9 days of school each year to stay engaged, be successful, and remain on track.
- Missing more than 10% of class days, or 2 days a month, during the school year can affect a studentās academic success and lead to a lack in progress.
Take a moment to look at your child's drop off and pick up location! Practice walking the route and plan your routine throughout this week!
CHECK YOUR PARENT PORTAL LOGIN
Aspen Parent Portal
Is your account linked to your child? Make sure to update your Parent Portal access today! This is a vital component of checking your child's grades, submitting an absence, and much more! Questions? Reach out to Mr. Colon, our Parent Portal expert!
GET CONNECTED!
Stay Informed & Involved
We are firm believers in frequent communication with our community. Please sign up for the Bateman Buzz as soon as possible! This is the easiest way to receive news directly from administration straight to your inbox every two weeks!

1. Visit the Bateman Monthly Calendar Page
2. Click on an event
3. In the event window, click "Copy to My Calendar" in the bottom right

Sign Up to Volunteer
Parent Organizations, Field Trip Chaperones, Room Parents, & More!
We have amazing Parent Organizations and we strongly encourage parent volunteering for all grade levels! Parent engagement helps Bateman maintain a positive experience and fosters the strong community feel throughout the year! Consider engaging with our Local School Council, Bateman Boosters, Bilingual Advisory Committee (BAC), Parent Advisory Committee (PAC), and Bateman Fathers' Club (BFC)! Each organization plays a vital role in the success and strength of our school - consider becoming involved and sign up at the Back to School Bash!
Volunteer sign up will be on going throughout the year. If you plan to chaperone on a field trip, please sign up now to make sure you have been approved!
START COMPLETING YOUR BACK TO SCHOOL FORMS
Each family will receive a Back to School Booklet to complete. If you would like to begin your Back to School forms, please download and print the forms from the links below. [Kindergarten and Preschool Families do not need to complete these again!]
