Happy Friday! Thank you to all families who were able to join us for this week's PTO Meeting and Monthly Principals' Forum. We are very appreciative of the time you spend each month joining meetings to learn more about MacArthur School and how you can support our learning community.

Upcoming Events: During this week's meetings we highlighted some wonderful upcoming events including Picture Day (10/2), our Back to School Night Open House event (10/10), PTO Trunkapalooza (10/25) and Multicultural Festival (11/16). Stay tuned for more information for these upcoming events. Read below on some exciting PTO plans for the year.
NEXT WEEK - Our first early release of the school year will take place on Wednesday, September 25th. Students will be dismissed at 1pm and lunch will be served. Thank you for preparing for this change in dismissal with your child and communicating what their dismissal plan will be for the day.
Electronic Device Policy - We wanted to remind all families about the electronic device policy outlined by the Waltham School Committee in the Elementary Student Handbook. It is our goal to partner with families to support appropriate device use and positive digital citizenship. Please reach out with any questions.
Students are not permitted to bring video games or similar equipment to school. If students bring cell phones, smart watches, or any other communication device, they are to remain turned off and placed in their backpack before leaving the house and remain there during the school day, riding the bus to and from school, and at all times on school property. The first such offense will lead to confiscation of the equipment for the day. Repeat offenses may lead to confiscation until the end of the school year.

Forsyth Dental is able to provide services at MacArthur again this year. Forsyth Dental is a free program for students that do not have a dental home. They provided preventative dental care. Below are forms to enroll your student. Once enrolled they will receive preventative dental care twice a year at school. If you have previously enrolled your student, you do not need to fill out the forms again. Once enrolled, they are enrolled for all of the time they are here.
