ALC Bowling
Nate's Knowledge
12/2/24
After listening to another Vikings game that caused more grey hairs on Sunday I read this from Jordan Peterson over the weekend: “If two people serve the same unity, they can work together, sacrifice together, navigate treacherous and difficult terrain together; can cooperate and compete together, and can do so voluntarily, productively, and peacefully. People aiming at the same unified target are psychologically integrated embodiments of the same spirit.”
I mention the Vikes game because we can visualize a stadium full of people all “aiming at the same unified target”. We all want our favorite team to win. We come together as one, form all walks of life, and collectively cheer on our favorite teams.
I thought of how we work together here at the ALC. (Also when we went bowling; one mission, knock down all the pins.) We all have one overarching main goal in mind; to create an environment where students can flourish and eventually graduate. All of us working toward one common goal. This makes us connected. When we are on the proverbial “same page” we accomplish great things together. As we enter into December and these next “just THREE!” weeks of school I want to focus on this connectedness. We can do great things but much more so when this feeling of connection is secure. One goal. Together.
Happy December folks.
And Go Vikes!
