2024-2025 Class Lists
Our teachers have begun the process of determining class lists for next year’s classes.
Please realize that Mr. Raugust, and the homeroom teachers take careful consideration of each student’s placement into their homeroom for next year. We have MANY factors to consider, including level of academic achievement, required academic supports, potential behaviour issues, the amount of boys vs. girls, students’ learning styles, and relationships between classmates. We realize that when class lists come out, some of you may be disappointed that your child is not in the same class as his/her “best” friend; sometimes this is unavoidable due to all of the factors that we have to consider. We have made every effort to ensure that every child has a close friend in their class, even if it may not be their “best” friend. As well, those of you that have requested a specific teacher for your child – we try our best to consider your reasoning behind a request, but it is not possible to accommodate parent requests in all situations.
Also, please note that once the class lists have been created and families have been informed of who their child’s teacher is for next year, it is extremely difficult to make any changes. There are many “moving parts” in these decisions, and it is not as simple as moving a child from one class to another.
If you have any questions, please contact us at the school; our school division has a policy of Healthy Interactions, where if you have a question or concern, you need to talk to the teacher directly.

Host an international student next school year, and enrich your home, lives, community and local schools!
Family focused student exchange company YES Canada, in partnership with the public school division, is seeking families within Prairie Land to host international students from a wide range of countries and cultural backgrounds. For these high school students, host families provide a home away from home in a safe and nurturing environment, three meals per day and the opportunity to become a family member. A monthly stipend is provided to host families to offset the cost of hosting. Local Coordinators and the experienced YES Canada team provide guidance and ongoing support for host families prior to and during a student’s stay.
If you are interested in hosting an international high school student or would like to learn more about YES Canada's homestay program, and the many benefits of becoming a host, we will be excited to connect with you. Hosting opportunities are available throughout next school year for possible durations of 2, 3, 5, 10 and 12 months.
