Week Ahead
December 15th- December 21st
This Week on the Ridge
Our students had the opportunity to perform for members of the community at the Center for Active Living. Thank you to Mr. Williams for this wonderful performance and for sharing the spirit of the season with others.
Holiday Card Contest Winners
Congratulations to our 3rd grade Holiday Card Contest winners. Each year a local business hosts a holdiay card contest for our 3rd graders. Winners are announced at an assembly. So proud of our participants and winners.
Spirit Week at Oak Ridge
Reminders
Recently we have had students bringing toys and stuffed animals to school. Please make sure students leave these items at home. We have also had students wearing onesies and pajamas to school. Unless there is a special class reward or spirit day (as there is this Tuesday) pj's should be worn at home and not to school. Finally, as the weather gets colder, please make sure your child is dressed to participate in recess. That means covered skin for protection: pants, jackets, hats, and gloves. I know many students run hot and are still wearing shorts in the building, but please make sure they are dressed to participate in outdoor recess.

Support during the Holidays
Dear Community and Staff,
As the winter break approaches, we invite you to take a moment to slow down, recharge, and embrace the peace this season can bring.
The holidays are often filled with joy and connection, but they can also bring challenges—whether it’s missing a loved one, juggling holiday preparations, or managing the pressures of the season. While each of us celebrates in our own way, it’s important to acknowledge all feelings that may arise and remember it’s okay to ask for support when needed.
To help make this season a little brighter, we’ve gathered some resources for you to keep handy. If you or a loved one could benefit from extra support, we encourage you to use them whenever needed.
Sandwich Public Schools has partnered with Care Solace to help support the well-being of our community. Whether you or a family member need support with mental health or substance use, Care Solace can connect you to care options that meet your needs—quickly, confidentially, and at no cost to you.
How to Access Support:
- Call: 888-515-0595 (Multilingual support available 24/7/365)
