What is Classical Conversations?

Classical Conversations is a national classical and Christian homeschooling program seeking to empower parents. Classical Conversations meets once a week, providing weekly accountability, encouragement, and structure that supplement and support what is being taught at home. On a weekly basis, we offer Foundations, Essentials, and Challenge programs in local communities. Find out how Classical Conversations can help you redeem your own education so that you can do the hard, but rewarding work of teaching your own children.

ages 4–11

Our Foundations programs meet one morning a week for 24 weeks. Students and parents are led in class by a trained tutor as they cover memory work for the week which includes Science, Math, History, Latin, English Grammar, and Geography. They also give individual presentations, participate in a science experiement, and have a fine arts project every week.

ages 9–11

Our Essentials programs meet in the afternoons from 1pm-3pm, once a week, after our Foundations programs. Students and parents are led in class by a trained tutor as they spend time working on English Grammar, Writing (using IEW materials), and math drills.

ages 12 & up

Our Challenge programs meet once a week (for 30 weeks) from 8:30am-3pm. Our Challenge program is aptly named, covering a full curriculum of subjects for middle and high school students. Each level progresses through Math, Latin, Science, and Literature with additional seminars including Economics, History, Philosophy, Theology, Logic, and Drama. Courses were developed in order to cultivate skills in speaking, logical thinking, debate, persuasive writing, conducting science labs and writing lab reports. Students participate in challenging projects together such as Mock Trial, Team Policy Debate, Science Fair, Speech Events, economics projects, and much more!
