TECHNOLOGY & TEAMS ISSUES?
If you are having a tech issue, please fill out the Tech Issue Form. This will help issues be addressed as quickly as possible and help us keep up with our record keeping since there are only two of us handling these issues. Emails are harder to keep up with and do not leave a paper trail that everyone can access.
If you are having a Teams issue is please fill out the Teams Issue form. These issues are harder for us to troubleshoot in-house, but we are sending these request to the district for support.
Both of these forms are linked on the Tech Help page, which all students and parents have access to through links on all canvas pages and the CMVS website.
Please utilize these forms rather than emailing teachers and staff.
A NOTE FROM MR. CLINE
Dear Charger Family,
As you know, we conducted I-Ready testing this week and experienced district-wide issues that required some troubleshooting. Unfortunately, this isn’t uncommon when new technology is introduced. Thus, we will be conducting some make-up testing and permitting students to finish tests next week. This important test will help our instructional team in best meeting your student’s needs to accelerate their growth. As a school, CMVS exceeded growth expectations in 23-24 and we look to further capitalize on that which means that every student grows to the fullest of their potential. The I-Ready assessments play a key role in providing data to help us with this.
As a school, we have partnered with Vision To Learn which provides an opportunity for our students to have eye exams and to get prescription glasses at no cost to the family. If you suspect any vision issues or your student needs an updated exam, please review the information below to learn about the program. We want all of our Chargers to have their vision taken care of!
We are very excited to host our 24-25 Curriculum Night online which will provide accessibility to all families. It will take place on Thursday, September 26th from 6-7 pm. This unique opportunity will help parents gain additional insight into what the learning expectations are for their students and how to best support their Chargers, teaming with us in the learning process. As parents, we depend on you to be strong learning partners as we team to help every Charger grow to their fullest potential.
Our Chargers are great leaders and our Student Government Association is growing which provides a great opportunity to have fun collaborating with colleagues to better support all students in the school. A virtual interest meeting will be held on Tue, Sept 24th at 2:15 via Microsoft Teams. More information on this can be found below.

It is of paramount importance that we maximize instructional time and student engagement at CMVS. In light of that, we have explicated our attendance policy which can be reviewed below. Students must arrive at synchronous sessions on time. Students will not be permitted into class if they are ten minutes late or later as it is a disruption to the learning and halts the process of instruction for the teacher. Thank you for supporting your student’s success with this.
We did an outstanding job with our testing program last year and we look to do even better this year. Please review the required in-person testing schedule below so that you can plan ahead. These tests are required of all students and inform instruction to best meet the individual learning needs of every student. High School Benchmarks are right around the corner (please see below).
Our seniors earned a huge sum of scholarship money last year and we know this year’s class of 2025 is poised to do the same. Please encourage your senior to check out the scholarship opportunities and to work with their counselor and teachers to take advantage of these.
Have a great weekend!
John
