BEING ON TIME
Our doors open at 7:05am
Please arrive on time (preferably before 7:30am) every day for your student to join their class and begin their day.
ATTENDANCE
ATTENDANCE MATTERS ALL DAY, EVERYDAY
Regular and punctual school attendance is essential for school success. Attendance increases student achievement and improves the quality of their educational experience. It prepares them for college, good careers, and successful adulthood. Texas Compulsory Attendance Law requires students to attend school regularly, unless otherwise exempted by law. It is the responsibility of the parent and student to cooperate and communicate with the school on all attendance matters.
Our registrar will be sending out Perfect Attendance Certificates for all students that had perfect attendance in the 9 weeks. There will also be little gifts. Parents, please make sure your students are coming to school everyday!
The district will take official attendance every day at: Elementary School Campuses: 9:30 a.m.
ABSENCE DOCUMENTATION
A parent must provide an explanation for any absence upon the student’s arrival or return to school. The student must submit a note signed by the parent or from an entity included in the exemptions under the compulsory attendance laws. The campus may accept a phone call from the parent but reserves the right to require a written note. The campus will document in its attendance records whether the absence is excused or unexcused.
Note: The district is not required to excuse any absence, even if the parent provides a note explaining the absence, unless the absence is an exemption under compulsory attendance laws.
ARRIVAL & DISMISSAL PROCEDURES
Arrival:
Our doors open at 7:05am.
Our tardy bell rings at 7:30am
If arriving after 7:35, parents are required to sign their students in the front office.
Dismissal Procedures:
School dismissal is at 2:50pm.
Car Riders : Parents/Guardians of Car Riders will need a “car rider tag” visible in the front windshield of the car. Please contact your student's teacher if you need one. To ensure the safety of our students, if someone without a tag tries to pick up a student they will be asked to park in visitor parking and report to the office to check out the student with a valid Identification. If your student is a car rider- you have to pick up in the car rider line. No exceptions. Please stay in your vehicle while waiting for your student in the car loop. Thank you for understanding.
Parent Walk-Ups: Students will be on the blue picnic tables in the front of the school. To help ensure the safety of our students, we will not release students in the car rider area to parent walk-ups. Please have an ID ready to show teachers and staff before your student is released to go home.
Please contact the office prior to 2:00pm if you need to change your child’s method of going home. No changes will be made after 2:00 pm to ensure safety of our students. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Doctors Appointments: If your students appointment will be in the afternoon, please pick up your student before 2pm. We will contact the teacher to send your student to the office when you arrive.

Standard Response Protocols & Campus Emergency Drills
We train our staff and students in the Standard Response Protocols (SRP); Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, Shelter, and Hold. These five simple procedures give our staff and students the tools they need to properly initiate emergency response actions for any emergency that may occur on a campus.
These SRP's are practiced regularly each school year at all campuses in the form of drills. State law actually dictates that number of times each semester each drill has to be practiced. In addition to the SRP Drills, we also have Fire Drills, Severe Weather Drills, Evacuation Drills. All drills are reported by each of the campus administrators to the Pflugerville Fire Department and the PfISD Office of Safety and Emergency Management within 48 hours of the drill.
Each of our SRP's are listed below along with a brief description of the protocol. You can click on the icon of each SRP for more detailed information on each protocol.

How to Enhance Family Relationships
Enhancing family relationships involves communication, understanding, empathy, and quality time together. Here are several strategies to help strengthen
family bonds:
- Effective Communication: Create a safe space where each member feels comfortable expressing their thoughts, feelings, and concerns openly and honestly.
- Quality Time Together: Spend time together as a family regularly. This can include shared meals, family outings, game nights, or other activities everyone enjoys. Also, create traditions and rituals.
- Active Listening: Show genuine interest in what family members have to say and validate their feelings.
- Empathy and Understanding: Foster empathy and understanding among family members by putting yourself in each other's shoes and considering their perspectives and emotions.
- Respect Boundaries: Respect each other's boundaries and personal space. Understand that everyone needs alone time and privacy.
- Resolve Conflicts Constructively: Conflict is natural in any relationship. Teach family members conflict resolution skills, such as staying calm, actively listening, finding common ground, and seeking solutions together.
- Celebrate Achievements: Foster a positive and supportive family environment by acknowledging and celebrating each other's achievements, milestones, and successes.
- Support Each Other: Always offer support to family members.
- Forgiveness and Letting Go: Practice forgiveness and let go of past grievances.
- Express Love and Gratitude: Express love and gratitude toward each other regularly. Simple gestures like saying, "I love you," giving hugs, or writing notes of appreciation can strengthen family bonds.
- Work on Individual Growth: Encourage individual growth and development within the family. Support each other's goals and aspirations, and provide encouragement during times of challenge or self-improvement.
By implementing these strategies consistently, families can cultivate stronger relationships, deepen connections, and create a supportive and loving environment for everyone involved.
