Welcome to the 2024-25 school year! We were so excited to welcome all of our students back to school at our Back to School Bash and would like to extend a special welcome to all of our new families this year. Our students and staff have hit the ground running and are already doing amazing things in the classrooms. Students have learned their classroom procedures
Your child may be coming home and talking to you about the drills we have been having at school. Safety is always at the forefront of our minds, and we want all students to be armed with the knowledge of what to do should an emergency situation arise. Thus far, your child has participated in a fire, tornado, and lockdown drill. All teachers have practiced these drills with their students prior to our school-wide drills, so the students already knew the expectations. All of them did amazingly well!
This year we are very fortunate to have free breakfast and lunch for all of our students. This special service has been offered to us through a grant. Our cafeteria staff is working very hard to provide hot, nutritional meals for our students, and I'm so happy to see that most of our students are taking advantage of this opportunity. A hot breakfast is always a great way to start off their day.
As we continue getting our school year underway, I want to encourage all of you to get involved with what is happening in your child's classroom and around our school. Our APPLES organization is a great way to get involved. They are a group of fun, hardworking parents who do a lot for our students and our school. I know they would appreciate your help in planning activities and volunteering for different events. Watch for more information on a future meeting date.
As always, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns. I'm looking forward to a great school year ahead!
