JROTC
Cadets in the JROTC program embraced the challenge to recite the JROTC Cadet creed from memorization and committed to embrace the essence of the creed. The Cadet creed is a set of guiding principles that reflect the values and responsibilities of JROTC cadets. Each line of the creed emphasizes duty, responsibility, leadership and commitment to self improvement.
The Raider team hosted Lugoff-Elgin on Wednesday for their first competition of the year. NC Cadets did an amazing job and took first place in the Litter Carry, and One Rope Bridge. They recorded their fastest rope bridge time of 2:13, which consisted of constructing the bridge, crossing it, and deconstructing it. September Reading Challenge
Hello from the library!
This year, Mrs. Ferrer is hosting a monthly reading challenge to boost the reading culture of our school. Each month there will be a new theme. Students and staff are encouraged to participate. Once you have completed your book for the month, you will be interviewed by Mrs. Ferrer or Mr. Huggins about the book to show that you have read it. You will receive a challenge button and a bookmark as a reward for completing the monthly challenge, and you will be entered into a drawing for a monthly prize.
September's theme is "Series September"; you will need to read the first book in a series to complete the challenge. If you need book recommendations, please stop by the library.
Happy Reading!
BRAVE cards are designed to positively reinforce wanted behaviors in students. A teacher will recognize a student for being respectful, aware, vested and empowered by handing the student a BRAVE card with the teacher's signature on the back. The student will take the card to the front office and place it in the gold hand spinner. Each week, a card will be drawn at random and that student will receive a prize.
Congrats to our August winners!!!
